1st night gave away our room, 2nd night water leak

Advertised as "Your room/unit will be guaranteed for late arrival." - not the case. We called the hotel at 9pm before making the 4 hour drive to let them know we would have a late check-in. They said it was not an issue and we would still have our room. Well 4 hours later when we arrived at 1am, they had given our room away. They put us in another hotel down the road (mind you - we booked this one specifically because it was connected to the convention center where we had an event, and we now had to walk/re-park cars outside in middle of December). They told us they were sorry but things like this "happen all the time". Really?? Then what is the point of making reservations, and why was I told my room was available 4 hours prior? They said we would have a room available with them the next night. The next day after re-parking cars, packing from the other hotel, and moving all our belongings, we got a 'newly renovated room' at Courtyard. The shower door did not properly seal so when I got out of the shower there was over an inch of water pooled up in the entire bathroom and started seeping under the bathroom door into the carpet. Very disappointed with this stay.
