Nice, quiet night

I stay in a lot of hotels from high-end to budget. I chose this one a little under-the-gun for a last minute trip. I needed someplace fast and this one was right off the highway. The hotel is a bit hidden behind several other chain hotels on a long frontage road. I arrived late (after 9:30) so I had to wait a couple minutes for the night manager to come back. Joy, was very apologetic about that and she was a very nice lady, so I didn't mind the short wait. The room was quiet. I mean, QUIET! No noise from the hallway, no flushing toilets next door, nor screaming infants. For a budget hotel, it was the best noise-free one I have ever stayed in. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, I'm a light sleeper anyway, so wasn't a deal breaker. The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave... another plus for my nightly popcorn fix. Breakfast was decent, though the breakfast area is small, so most tables were full of bleary-eyed holiday goers. Only downside to my stay was the printer at their "travel center" -literally a little hole in the wall- was out of ink (note taped to top of printer). Once the young lady at the desk finished her conversation with another staff-member... I hate waiting for personal conversations to finish while I'm a paying customer! I asked how I could print my tickets and she just shrugged... didn't care one bit. Not the great customer service Joy had provided the night before... FAIL! Overall a good, quick, QUIET stay. I would stay again.
