Difficult visit

We had a difficult time because the room next to ours, room 1007 was being repaired so the first two mornings we woke to hammers and saws, the third morning my wife was showering and the water went off, it was off for 2 hours. The hotel credited our incidentals but could not adjust our room rate because we booked with Expedia.

Decent Hotel but not 4 star Quality

This hotel needs to be updated. The bathroom was the biggest let down. Then the next let down was bed. Not what I was expecting for a 4 star hotel. The sink in the bedroom area was extremely annoying when we poured things down the drain. The TV was really old. Looked like one of the first flat screens ever created. The bell staff didn't seem too helpful at first, they didn't move with a sense of urgency when we asked for a cart to carry our things. Lastly I was trying to print and the printer was malfunctioning and no one came over to help..when they clearly saw me trying to make it work. I just expected a lot more coming to a 4 star hotel. The Hilton only has 4 stars because of the name because this quality is definitely 3 star. I thought I was at Red Roof or Quality Inn.

Elegant, comfortable, pricey w/nickle-&-diming

Pros: The room size and comfort, the staff's willingness to assist.
Cons: With that pricey a breakfast, surely the restaurant (120 West) could find a way to provide hot coffee -- that is, hot enough to be hot even w/cream.
Location: Very near the State House; a few blocks from St. Elmo's Steakhouse, Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument,Eiteljorg Museum, Circle Center Mall.
CAVEAT to recommendation: I'd recommend it mainly to those who need to stay in this location despite cost. I stayed at this hotel so I could walk to a state senate committee meeting in the morning instead of driving for well over an hour and parking. It was a worthwhile extravagance, since I could (at least in a short-term view) afford it. The interiors are spacious and generally impressive. All the staff members I dealt with were friendly and very helpful. The room was large, and while it had neither mini-fridge nor microwave, the staff supplied both for no extra charge. (I don't know whether there would have been such a charge if I hadn't been a Hilton Honors member, though at the low "blue" level.) The bed was very comfortable -- at least for me. I like a firm mattress, which the room had. Unless one is a Hilton Honors member, wi-fi in the room costs $12 or $14 (I forget which) --or more, as the hotel buffet breakfast was $18 rather than the $14 announced on the website. Self-parking is $36 and valet parking is $42, both ridiculous IMHO. As for the breakfast, one can order a la carte -- but the combination of orange juice and breakfast would apparently run $9. . . . There's a restaurant about a block away, open at 7 a.m., with appetizing (from the menu) breakfasts, and I'd recommend going there, though in the end I was too lazy.

Great Hotel in downtown core

Cons: nothing
Location: Close to everything. All features of downtown core are within walking distance, therefore great location.
We had a wonderful stay and the room exceeded our expectations in regards to the size for the dollar value. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Nice hotel in downtown Indy

Overall the hotel was great. My only complaint is we booked one room for two adults and two children (ages 9 & 13). When we walked in our room it was a king size bed and that's it. I didn't bother complaining to the front desk, we just called for a rollaway bed and our 9 year old slept with us. Just seemed weird to give us a one king room for the people we had.

Excellent hotel for our yearly staff Meeting.

Pros: Classy, oversized suites.
Cons: Housekeeping left neighbors room service dishes in the hall the entire stay.
Location: Many restaurants within walking distance, one block off the circle.
The room was a perfect fit for what we needed. Extremely large suite complete with conference table, living space, kitchenette, comfortable king bed, and 2 bathrooms. We will definitely be using this facility again.

Room had previous garbage still in trash can- and dirt and used soap in shower. Shower head seal from wall was broken and it looked like someone shoved paper in there to hold it in place. Coming into the hotel was very chaotic and caused one woman to almost rear end a car and was screaming and threatening her- if I didn't have a meeting to go to in 30min inside the hotel I would have went someplace else. My reservation was supposed to be under a company room discount and was not- there was a few othrr mix ups which could have been on both ends eaither way not smooth, and I have never had an issue with an overnight stay like this. Whoever the woman was I first talked to Tuesday night was very kind and I was able to check in early as I was driving over 6 hours to get to the meeting. Room service was also helpful and the food was pretty good. This was my first time ever using a Hilton to stay as I have only used them for meeting purpose. I will never stay overnight again in one. I have had much better service paying half of what I did for a room elsewhere.

This is nice and convenient hotel but the smell...

When we came in the hotel they gave us some room on 19th floor. The room wasn't what I've ordered and the smell Clorox everywhere. We couldn't stay there because of this smell. They gave us different room but the smell Clorox was there also but not very strong like in a previous room. They definitely need to change some cleaners.
