Night out on the town.

Husband and I stayed here for a night out on the town. It is located walking distance to almost everything downtown. We weren't in the room much. Everything was clean. The bed was comfy. The shower was nice and the coffee was good. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

A Bit Less Impressed, but Still a Beautiful Place

We came in on New Year's Day, and found the front desk less impressive than in the past. Perhaps it was just that on last year's wedding anniversary stay we found the experience so over-the-top that the bar was set very high for this return visit. Still a unique, quiet, boutique property, with beautifully decorated public spaces. Our room had a dismal view of roof tops and HVAC units, but with the drapes pulled it went away. Room service and the in-house restaurant, Spoke & Steel, were outstanding!

Good hotel with some problems

The Le Meridien is generally a fine property, but there are some problems. The valet parking attendant is usually not available. For example, on one occasion they said he was taking a load of laundry upstairs. Also, there is no service elevator, which means that elevator rides can mean sharing with a large cart full of towels, or a room service cart loaded with dirty dishes and half-eaten food. The downtown location is excellent, however.
