Great locationPosted Sep 17, 2015
The staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms were very modern, clean and comfortable. I like that they were right downtown and surrounded by fantastic restaurants. I recommend St. Elmo steak house. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing surprisePosted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: The staff, but particularly the restaurant and food.
Location: in the heart of downtown indy, malls, restaurants, bars, clubs, stadiums etc etc right nearby
The hotel itself is clean and upscale, the rooms are a little smaller than usual, however... The staff is phenomenal and the restaurant and room service is incredible.

Nice Hotel, Indianapolis Hidden TreasurePosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Staff, Room, Location
Cons: Bed was too firm
Location: Its in downtown Indianapolis, connected to mall, near many restaurants, Lucas Oil, Convention Center, Banker's Life Fieldhouse & Victory Field.
This hotel seems to be a Indianapolis hidden treasure! It started with the price... Very reasonable. After I booked the hotel, my husband called the hotel to surprise me with flowers in the room. The hotel representative helped my husband by ordering the flowers (which were absolutely beautiful) & having them waiting in the room when we arrived. Once he found out we were celebrating our anniversary, they upgraded our room. After check-in, they delivered chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to our room. They also gave us a voucher for breakfast the next morning. The check-in receptionist was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Once we got to the room, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Very modern & updated. The bathroom had a large shower and was very clean. The bed was too firm for my liking, but the bedding was very comfortable. We had dinner at St. Elmo's Steak House, which was next door to the hotel. The hotel is home to Spoke and Wheel Restaurant, which is where we had breakfast. It was good, too. I loved this hotel and can't wait to stay there again.

Nicely located in the middle of everythingPosted Aug 19, 2015
It was clean and the bed was highly comfortable. For being fully booked it was quiet the entire stay. We really enjoyed our honeymoon there!

Great location in downtown Indianapolis.Posted Aug 16, 2015
Location: Le Meridien is so well located that you can walk to everything downtown--restaurants, concert venues, Lucas Oil Stadium, etc.
We enjoyed our stay at Le Meridien. The housekeeping staff left a bit to be desired. We arrived on Wednesday and left on Saturday, and, except for one day, I'm not sure our room was ever cleaned. We made the bed ourselves. We were supposed to receive a daily coupon for coffee, but after we used the coupon that was there when we arrived, we never received another. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The heating/cooling system, however, overpowered our tiny room. I never was able to adjust the temperature to our satisfaction. The location is excellent, however, and the room was nice and newly remodeled.

Girls WeekendPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Great staff, great location, very clean
Cons: Nothing - our room was perfect
Location: The location is right in the middle of downtown and connected to the mall. Perfect location!
The hotel and staff were absolutely amazing! From the minute the valet opened my door we were treated like queens which was perfect because we were there for a girls pampering and party weekend! I felt safe as they parked my car, and always offered recommendations on where to eat or go and were helpful from the minute I arrived to the second we left.

NOT THE CANTERBURYPosted Jul 27, 2015
Went for the weekend. Booked room online w/ Expedia. Staff acted like because I booked w/ Expedia that any issues were not their problem. Got into room. My closet was larger than this room. Room so small that only 1 night stand. The bed was so close to wall that I had to crawl out only to bang my knee on the wall corner. Only about 3-4" from wall. Room temp set at 65 but room was 74 deg. Booked room for 2 but in the room was only 1 set of towels, 1 robe. No in room coffee, Ice bucket so small that it was useless. Hotel "brochure" did not tell where ice was. Called front desk 3 times-no answer. Finally went down to ask were ice was. It was not on my floor. Room was so hot and claustrophobic that we checked out early and left at about 6am. Bed should have been on other side of room, this room was apparently meant for 1. For the price I will stay in a more comfortable hotel. The rooms were clean but very uncomfortable due to temperature and size. Had I known I would have to crawl in & out of bed and crack my knee & shin on a wall in the dark I would have booked a room elsewhere. This could have been helped if the bed was on the other side of the room where at least two night stands would fit. The microscopic rooms are a major turn off. Décor in room very modern unlike the historic nature of the structure. Quite disappointing. Wont be back & we stay downtown once or twice a month.

Not the CanterburyPosted Jul 20, 2015
Cons: How about putting bed on the other side of the room so that you can actually get in and out of it without causing a blood clot in a leg.
Chose this hotel as we were frequent guests of Canterbury. Booked for 2 nights/2 People. Room was small, microscopic. So small that it had only 1 night stand. One side of the bed was within about 3" of the wall and you had to crawl out of it to get out of bed. When getting back in bed I hit shin on the corner wall of the HVAC system and injured leg. Though we booked for 2 guests there was only one set of towels, one robe, no in room coffee. Ice "bucket" was about 2 cups large. Room temp was set at the lowest setting, 65 but room temp was 74 deg. No literature in room as to ice locations, etc. Called front desk 3 times, no answer. Finally went down to find out where ice was located. It was on the 10th floor. We were on 9th floor. Decided to check out early and leave (about 7am) because the room was so claustrophobic, hot and small. No valet or baggage help to be found. Went and got our car and left. Front desk help was friendly when present. This is not the same service nor quality and caliber of the Canterbury. Will either stay at the Conrad or Omni in the future. The room rates were nearly the same but much better choices than Le Meridian
