Racing weekend relaxation.

Stayed at the Renaissance during an SVRA weekend at Indy. Not too far from the track but definitely away from the hubbub. The hotel is not adequately staffed to manage the large groups they brought in during our stay. Baseball camp nearby turned the elevators into a frat house condition. Food on the floors. Doors smeared with unidentified goo. But the strangest thing of all is that facilities close up early and don't open early enough to be useful if you are away from the hotel in the am, and don't return until pm. Odd. On the good side, the beds were marvelous. Rooms maintained well. Front desk staff very accommodating. Handled incoming parcels perfectly. Hire more housekeeping when the hotel is full of conventioneers and teenage boys and this place would rock.

Good hotel, bad breakfast buffet

The hotel was wonderful! Had some drinks & appetizers at the bar that were delicious....the ahi tuna wraps were fantastic! Save your money on the breakfast buffet as it was inedible.

Quiet, clean hotel a few minutes off Meridian

The room was very clean and the staff were very accommodating. I had a small issue with room, but the front desk staff remedied it quickly. I even had a pleasant experience a few weeks before with the front desk staff, when I called ahead to confirm the type of room I wanted.

Top Notch.

Pros: Everything!!
Cons: Rollaway beds should be able to be available for any room.
Location: Dave&Busters, great bars and restaurants.
Everything went well with my stay just couldn't put a rollout bed in the room. Had and extra kid that stayed with us but we managed though. Free breakfast was great because they gave you 2 complimentary meal buffet. Then on top off that they had a free sports breakfast for a the sports teams that stayed in the hotel. What more can you ask for. The rooms wear clean and comfortable with a 55" screen tv in the room Wow!!!!!!

Location: This hotel is in a very nice part of town.
Everything about the hotel and staff was fantastic. The room was clean and very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Parking was easy and free.
Cons: Sometimes it's the simple things that can make a difference. For a hotel, cleanliness is one of them for me.
Location: Carmel is a great city.
Outdated, dirty furniture throughout hotel. Holes in sheets, tub stopped up. Silverware and plates dirty and a sticky floor in the cafe. A clean hotel is different than an old hotel. This was both. The feedback I got after I complained was they are renovating soon, but that is irrelevant as it pertains to lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Misinformation from Expedia about reservation

I indicated I wanted 2 double beds when reserving the room on Expedia. Upon arriving, we were given a room with 1 king bed, for a family of 4. Expedia knew we had 4 people, and the hotel clerk knew we had 4, and yet still put us in a room with a king bed. When I complained, they switched us to a room with a king and pullout couch, but without any price deduction. Very disappointing that this hotel chooses to work with a company like Expedia that misinforms its customers.
