My experience was an excellent one. I am going to go back as soon as possible. Since I live closer to Chicago I'm will be checking to find out if one is there in the city.

Nice place to stay

We stayed there for the weekend as we were attending my nephew's bar mitzvah in Carmel. The lobby is beautiful with a very nice restaurant. The room was small but comfortable. There were a couple of things missing. There was no ice bucket so I had to keep walking down the hall with glasses to get ice. There were 2 glasses in the bathroom when we arrived. We used both of them the first day. After maid service one of the used glasses was removed but not replaced. The other used one was left on the counter. So we had one used glass.

Knowledgeable staff

Location: We were only 30 minutes from Lucas Oil Stadium where we were attending the BOA Nationals Marching Band Competition.
The service was the best. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Very clean room and facilities. With road construction in front of the hotel, the staff was prepared with printed maps to help us find local restaurants.

Not worth the money

Location: It's central Indiana.
We booked for three people. We arrived and they had a cot in the room for our daughter. She was uncomfortable and the room was the same price it would have been if there was another bed in the room. We asked to change rooms, were told that we were "first on the list" and nothing. The bathroom mirror frame had apparently been damaged in the past and their remedy was black tape. It had the feel of a substandard hotel for a nice hotel price. Even at the high cost, no free WI-FI, no free breakfast. I'm surprised we didn't have to pay for parking.

Cons: Breakfast was very expensive.
Hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was great.

Enjoyed my stay...

Pros: Nice accommodations, comfy beds, courteous staff, location, restaurant on site, work-out facilities, indoor pool.
Cons: As stated above,there are a few small tweaks that could be made to make this hotel better.There is free wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms.
Location: Very easy access to the Carmel area.
I chose the Renaissance for several reasons.They were close to where I needed to be,they had a restaurant,room service,and were a notch above the other hotels in the area.This was not a vacation trip for me.Upon arrival,I was greeted by a very courteous young man at the front desk.He had my reservation & within minutes,I had my room key,a free bottle of water,was shown to the elevator & had all my questions answered.Very impressive!The room was very nice & clean.The bed was extremely comfortable with down pillows.I chose to order room service.It came within 20 minutes & was very good without costing a fortune.I also chose to use the door tag to order the next morning's breakfast.It also arrived promptly.The rest of my stay was just as positive.I will list a few minor complaints, emphasis on minor. 1)When you arrive, the coffee area is stocked perfectly & a door tag for breakfast is on the bed.After the first night,none of these things were replenished. The coffee area was not cleaned even though the room had been cleaned.A quick phone call to the front desk took care of it. 2)I noticed that there were no extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom & the rolls were almost empty.Not a problem since it was just me,but could have been an issue if more than one person were there. 3) Due to the reason I was in town,I was exhausted & not out of the room early.I put out the "do not disturb"sign.The maids still knocked on the door twice.I was out by by 10am.Not a big deal overall.

Nice hotel. Over rated.

Nice hotel but not fantastic. A little tired and food mediocre. New Drury plaza currently trumps it and you can save money!

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel, would stay again. Nice staff. Only negative, they were sold out with guests, therefore, they need more luggage carts.
