A cold morning in downtown Indianapolis. I will certainly return in the summer to take a long stroll in the city with my camera. There is a lot of history there. Watching the emerging fall colors while kayaking at Eagle Creek State Park. I've never been here before. Great place to grab lunch! Lots of mom and pop places. Had the gyros and the owners were the sweetest!!
#market Indianapolis Downtown on the Circle. One of the largest Christmas Tree. They light it Thanksgiving weekend to New Years. View taken from Skyline Club top floor of the Chase tower. Neat path between the Indianapolis zoo and white river. Lots of surprises. Looking East from Capitol to Civil War Memorial Segway tour along the Canal through downtown Indy. A breathtaking monument of Indiana history. There is a look out tower at the top ! Its amazing ! Speciality of the zoo is the Orangutan enclosure!! It's soo big and the orangutans can climb over the towers and play around!! I spent a whole day and most of the animals were active and engaging! U can see the dolphins swimming around in the pool from a glass room! Not the best zoo in US but still worth visiting!! Nice chances to click some good pics!! I didn't know Indy had local brews, but I shouldn't be surprised. Any town worth their salt has at least one! My favorite thing here was the patio with bean bag toss that was dog-friendly. In the heart of Indianapolis , lies the Canal District ! You can do everything from kayak, paddleboat and even ride in a guided gondola! Figures of fleeing dear in front of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Best fried chicken! So good. All dressed up for Christmas! Underneath this monument is a museum, and there lots to see nearby! A pic of the entrance display at the NCAA Hall of Champions. Nice museum, but needs to display more USC, UCLA, and Stanford, achievements since they dominate the NCAA championship records. No other school comes close in total championships. Have some tea with Pooh or check out the dinosaurs. This is one of the most impressive children's museum around. This monument in the center of a traffic rotary in Indianapolis is spectacular. The carvings on each side are so life like and detailed. The structure is over 250 feet high and took over 13 years to construct. You can read more about it here - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldiers'_and_Sailors'_Monument_(Indianapolis) The incredible Dutch pancake with peaches. Impossibly good. The Murat Tri tip waffle fries!!!! Love Tow Yard Brewing! Horse carriage rides with Christmas lights around one of the largest Christmas Trees anywhere. Indianapolis circle. Easely Winery. Best wine! Glee. Bacon #stunningstructures Weekly Sunday Dinner Charcuterie. Stay at the fairgrounds on-site RV park with full hookups and attend one of the many events here. Upon arrival to your RV spot, call the office and they will come collect payment and unlock the electric pedestal. Good price and location to see all the Indianapolis sites. Old National Centre at night Back home again in Indiana. See this historic 1888 state capitol building outside, then arrange for a tour inside. See this historic downtown 1927 theatre building and enjoy a show here. It was named after America's first self-made female millionaire. While staying at the Fairgrounds RV park or attending an event here, stop in at this historic Hook's Drug Store and Soda Fountain museum and enjoy old fashioned ice cream and sodas in the recreated Victorian soda fountain.
