Good value

Posted Dec 11, 2016
Pros: Very nice, quaint facility. Convenient to downtown. I had one small request and they were very responsive.
Cons: They took bath items after first night and did not replace until I asked; minor issue and just a mistake by staff. Cold one morning-VERY hot the next
Location: Quick ride to downtown, did not need a car, used Lyft.
Nice BNB. Convenient to downtown Indy at a good price.

Please allow us to thank you for the kind remarks you made. We are not sure what happened with bath items. We do replenish complimentary toiletries daily. If this was overlooked, we do apologize. Temperatures have varied greatly this week. Please always let us know if you are uncomfortable and we will adjust accordingly.

Nice & quiet

Posted Nov 6, 2016
Pros: Running the Monumental Hallf marathon
Cons: The room was adorable just not suited for a senior couple
Location: Location was very nice and fairly close to downtown.
First off I would like to have been advised that it was a loft.I'am 70 my wife in her 60's Not easy or safe.for us to be climbing a ladder that high and having to get on our hands and knees to get down onto the ladder. No coffee pot only decaf instant coffee. The Inn was very nice and we felt safe.Beautifully decorated. We had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.Room we had was very nice and would go back again if not having a loft to sleep in

We have a wide selection of rooms that are not lofts. Just let us know your needs and we will make our best match. All lofts come equipped with coffee pots and coffee packets - maybe you missed it. We have decaf and regular coffee located in our complimentary Butler's Pantry. See you next trip!

Quiet B & B experience

Posted Oct 17, 2016
Pros: I enjoyed the historical home feeling, but with conveniences.
Cons: More access to staff, I was unsure how to contact staff with questions or concerns directly.
I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast prior to this experience, but judging from this experience it is definitely not going to be the last. The ambiance was lovely, the atmosphere was so quiet and peaceful. The staff was accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall relaxing departure from my hectic days.

Cool B&B on good location

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Sprawling old house very nicely redone as a B&B. I really enjoyed my loft room (SE), which had a full bath and a kitchen with a fridge and a stove, among other things. The staff was friendly and Massachusetts Avenue, where there are some nice restaurants and bars, was within walking distance. I was up and out very early so I did not have breakfast but they have a continental version served early and a hot breakfast served later. The limited parking was full but there was plenty of space just across the street. You do have to climb stairs (and a ladder to the loft) to stay here. I recommend it is a nice place to stay in Indy just generally and if you want a break from typical city hotels in particular.

Good Stay i n Indy

Posted Nov 9, 2015
Location was great. Walking distance to downtown. Our 4 days in Indy were great! The Inn was very nice and the Innkeeper was very helpful in many ways. We stayed in the Carriage House which would be great for an extended stay with it's kitchen facilities it felt more like a condominium . The only drawback to our stay was an unexplained odor of sewer which appeared on our second day. The maintenance person was there within minutes and did what he could with drain cleaner and bleach, but a real fix had to wait until Monday. None the less we would highly recommend that you consider this B&B for your travel needs.

The inn was beautiful. I was at a wedding in indianapolis and the inn was less than a mile from the venue. The bed was very cozy and the breakfast (pumpkin frittata) was Amazing! Although the room was tidy there was dust on every surface and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. For the price I expected the room to be pristine.

Friendly, romantic, cozy, nook amid the city.

Posted Dec 10, 2014
The staff was incredibly nice, the free breakfast was plentiful in the morning, and the whole atmosphere of the place was cozy. Letters and memoirs from previous guests relaying their stories (often romantic) were everywhere through the inn. Perfect for couples or families!
