The physical condition of the Stone Soup Inn was excellent. The bedroom was spacious, the dining areas beautifully kept, and the tulips on the grounds were wonderful.

This has a really friendly bed & breakfast experience, in a fun Victorian home, and the proprietors encourage conversation with the other guests during the nicely-balanced complimentary breakfasts. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful. There did seem to be some issue with the HVAC which made it cool down when it was already cold, but I'm assuming that was temporary, and had to do with the awkwardness of the specific room I took - this is an old house, after all.

David is a brilliant host with terrific knowledge of the local area for dining and entertainment suggestions. A gorgeous old home that is a destination in itself.

This was a great place to stay. The innkeeper was amazing. We were able to walk to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a concert (30 min walk) and to dinner. It was quiet, clean and unique!

beautiful classic colonial home. beautiful inside. a variety of options in terms of rooms. David the innkeeper was very helpful. very friendly and represents the property well. easy drive to downtown from location. great restaurants in the neighborhood. thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.

The house is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is warm and inviting. The neighborhood is charming. However, the breakfast, though beautifully staged, was no better than a continental breakfast at a budget hotel.

This is a beautiful old home that allows the visitor to take a step back into history. The staff works double-time to make sure you live your stay. They succeeded.

We were both so pleased with our stay. The people were very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved the history of the inn and just loved the blue room. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone.

Liked: Water/ice machine, entire butler's pantry. Staff was amazing and kind. House was rich with detail. Plenty of room for playing board games, or resting on the patio outside. 2 complaints: Please oil door hinges. The house makes enough noises as it is. Also, the lack of homemade breakfast was disappointing since the property is billed as a "B&B". There was a "continental" breakfast with no protein...only carbs & sugar.

A great find do a quick weekend away.
A great find for a couples weekend away. Within walking distance to Old National Centre where a lot of concerts are held. Friendly, inviting and efficient staff.

Love these old mansions
Beautiful mansion right north of downtown. For the same price as a hotel you get to live like "1 percent-er" from the early 20th century. I would definitely stay here again.

We had the whole place to ourselves so we thought it was very odd as we were rushed through breakfast. Our room was on the 3rd floor, we could handle the climb but it was a hike. We walked downtown which was very close by.

Nice lil inn
Clean and friendly for lace. The h narlty was very slow to drain. But other than it was a nice cottage. We stayed in the carriage hourse. We would stay again.

My teen son and i stayed at this inn while we were in town for a show. We stayed in The Carriage House. We loved how it was quiet, as there was no adjoining rooms. My son let me have the bed while he slept on the couch. His only complaint was that the throw over the back of the couch was no replacement for an actual blanket and no additional blanket was found. We only stayed one night but we both agreed that if either of us was in the area again, we'd definitely stay at Stone Soup Inn. I'd choose The Carriage House again since it's one of the rooms that has a private bathroom.

Thank you for the 5 stars! We really appreciate it. Please don't be shy to ask for extra bedding. We assumed that 2 guests would stay in the bed together. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are always ready to provide linens for the couch when needed.

The kitchen staff was repeatedly rude to my husband after he knocked on the door to request more coffee the first morning. Breakfast offerings were adequate. House was gorgeous, but we will not stay again.
