Caught in the FAA scheduling debacle

Pros: Staff; bedding is also very good.
Location: Near Indy airport - easy drive downtown or to the Indy Speedway or Lucas Oil stadium.
We had scheduled 2 rooms at the Wyndham - unfortunately, the information was not faxed to the hotel. We were caught in the major cancellations on the east coast and arrived at midnight, only to find that the information from Expedia had not been received (and for several other people in line as well). The Wyndham desk staff was outstanding and bent over backward to resolve the problems. Hotel is clean and quiet, with reasonable amenities. Excellent for business or for an overnight stay to catch an early plane.

Extremely bad maintenance. TV was broke, physically! Back part was split open to pieces. Complained to the front desk, they said don't worry we will not charge u No lights in the parking lot. Had to use my phone's flashlight to make it in from the parking lot. For 2 nights!!! nibody to serve at the kiosk to buy breakfast. Yes, pay for breakfast!

Though there has been a recent report of a TV back being loose, it seems the TV was operational. Your feedback will be helpful in clarifying the intended issue by the caller in the future. We are diligently working with our power provider for their team to fix wiring that has caused power outages in our meeting space and an area of the parking lot. Though a city issue, this has come at a great inconvenience to our guests and is a top priority. As a Wyndham Brand Hotel, we do not offer complimentary breakfast options. Cost versus quality

Pros: Location was decent, lots of parking, excellent housekeeping staff, terrific attached restaurant.
Cons: Older room, no safe, crappy television, spotty wifi, poor lighting.
Location: With a vehicle, most things are 10-15 minutes away. But not a lot in walking distance. Close to airport.
I stayed here for Gen Con. For a lower cost hotel, this review would be higher, but as I wanted a quality stay I was disappointed I spent what I did.

Needs some work

Pros was that it's close to airport and freeway.Price was very affordable which was nice.But on the downside our room needed some updating.tv reception was bad.Water sprayed from side of toilet every time it was flushed.Two of the lights never worked and no microwave.Plus a $10 charge for a refrigerator if you wanted one.

Came to Indy to see the Rolling Stones. Best hotel experience for the money we have had in a long time. The hotel staff recommended a shuttle service and they were great too. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The next time we stay in Indy it will be at the Wyndham Indy West.

Really nicely appointed room, comfortable (although bed may be a little too soft for some). Excellent shuttle service to/from airport and to nearby car rental. Nice restaurant and snack bar. Couldn't has for more for the price! Thanks, Wyndham!

Good for a stopover

Nice clean place, safe environment, with both non-smoking and smoking rooms which didn't seem to be too near each other, but it IS near the airport, so a bit on the noisy side, although it didn't stop me from sleeping well. No in-room microwave or fridge, or free breakfast, which would have made me give this place a 4, and I couldn't send email with their free internet for some reason which I had no time to delve into, but it did have rolling luggage carts for my personal use and plenty of parking, which I appreciate in a hotel as opposed to a motel where my car is always quite handy. It was one of those unknown picks for a low price, so I'd say I got my money's worth for a stop on a cross-country trip, and I'd recommend it.

Close to race track

The room and front of the house staff was great.....but if you're looking to dine in the lounge, don't. It's a comfortable/relaxing atmosphere but the servers were all really very very rude. And the food was terrible. There were four of us who ALL had the same opinion. From the flat bread pizza (that was 1.2 inches thick and blah), to the Italian sandwich (the meat couldn't have been actual meat- it was disgusting), to the chicken fingers that had no taste and the sauces were odd.....lastly the steak salad- also odd tasting and cold grisly steak. We had to hail a server each time and they were not nice and seemed like they were so busy although they only had maybe 4-5 tables a piece. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I'm a pretty patient person and very understanding....but it was one of the worst experiences I've had anywhere. Stay at the hotel, don't eat there...
