Clean, pleasant hotel

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Pros: Large comfortable room with balcony, modern lift and option for breakfast.
Cons: King size bed had two separate twin mattresses so there's a ridge in the middle. The tub has one of those glass half doors which is fairly typical.
Location: Tours has a cathedral, museums, Loire valley chateaux nearby. Plenty of good restaurants in town and great transportation.
We had a very spacious double room with a balcony that the hotel provided on our request so we could see the bicycle race happening on the street in front of the hotel. Tea and coffee service are provided in the room with a little cookie and a bottle of water in the room or you could have the optional buffet with eggs, ham, cereal and coffee. Its France, so you're not going to find that kind of breakfast easily. Staff was quite pleasant and proficient enough in English. You're a short distance from the center of town which is walkable or a convenient bus or tram ride away.

Convenient to city and friends

A reasonably priced hotel with pleasant staff. Air conditioning went wrong 1st night so a bit uncomfortable, but easily fixed the next day. Poor wi-fi reception in my room on ground floor. Excellent breakfast choice except overdone eggs.

It is not as close to the center of town or the train station as I would have liked. However, it was easy to located and the rom and staff were pleasant enough for our two day stay in Tours.

Hotel parking adds to the Kyriad's appeal

Posted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Hotel parking, helpbul desk and kitchen personnel, and prices that put nearby hotels to shame make the Kyriad an easy choice.
Cons: The difficult parking, but I've no idea how it could be done.
Location: For walkers, the museum, when the weather is good, is a pleasant excursion with a holocaust memorial park and other pleasant distractions en route.
A relatively spacious room just off a central mainly pedestrian mall and reasonable prices make the Kyriad an easy choice. An excellent with boil-your-own eggs puts it over the top.

Wonderful experience in Tours

Posted Jul 18, 2012
Pros: We had a home base here and were able to visit many chateaus in the Loire Valley from this location.
Location: Easy to find from A10, it's a nice city to visit too.
We really appreciated that you had a room to accommodate Three singles traveling together. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking garage was a plus also.

More like a hostel than a hotel

Posted Sep 1, 2011
Not as close to the centre as you might expect - a 12 min brisk walk but not easy with luggage. The rooms are clean but basic, expect no frills. When leaving the premises to go out, you are required to hand in your keys at reception. If you need an iron, you will have to ask at reception and do your ironing in a room at the back. Would not recommend this hotel for stays longer than a couple of days.

Good value in Tours, France!

Posted Sep 7, 2009
The hotel was within a 10-minute walk to the center of the town, and another 10-minute walk to the "old city" of Tours. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were comfortable, with good beds, a workable shower, and air conditioning (unfortunately, no refrigerator). It was good to have a room in the back of the hotel -- much quieter! There was a good market across the street from the hotel. Overall, a good experience, and good value for the money! One warning: don't bring a big car to park -- the underground (paid) parking garage has a VERY narrow entry!
