We are english speakers and the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was large and the hotel was conveniently located close to the Train Station.

Small, Frenchy hotel with a great staff
This hotel is absolutely lovely if you are an admirer of old French-style buildings. You need to consider that cause this is not a new building with soundproof walls etc. but that's the charm and some noise really didn't bother me. The outside garden is a jewel and you can use it all day long. Breakfast is nice, although it could have some vegetables and more regional chees selections. The best of the best is the staff! They are so nice and helpful, they even got us an early breakfast cause our train was leaving to around 7am.

Although the hotel is cute, there is no air conditioning and no fans in the rooms to circulate air. Hotel rooms open up over busy street so traffic noise is an issue and windows cannot be left open. Nothing in the immediate vicinity—food, etc. Also, neither desk clerk was able to communicate in English.

A happy short stay
The room was clean and bijou and very comfortable. It was typically french in style which was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly with a good command of English which assisted our appalling french. i would happily stay there again. the location was good and we were able to park directly outside.

Super friendly service. Nice clean rooms. Lovely patio for chilling in the evenings. Easy free parking on the street. Good location. 4-5 long blocks to train station. 20-25 min walk to old town. Definitely would stay here again!

Friendly and helpful if a little toasty
Very welcoming and helpful staff, comfy beds and a few options for breakfast. A little stroll away from the bar and dining neighbourhoods but a 15 min walk after dinner is pleasant here. Free parking which is helpful. Room was on the ground floor overlooking a busy main road so too noisy to leave windows open at night and too exposed to have windows open in the day, left us with a very hot room in the middle of July!

A warm welcome on our return visit
This was our second stay at the Mirabeau in 8 months and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is well placed for car hire and an easy walk from the rail station or the tram from the airport.

Our room was nothing like the photos on the web. Spacious and at the front of the hotel but far more basic than the photos. Convenient situation however for walking Tours was its huge advantage. Staff very nice. No fridge. No tea or coffee in the room but clean.

You'd be forgiven for thinking 'Hmmm . . ' on seeing this hotel from the outside, as it doesn't look anything special, but once you get inside it's fabulous. The welcome was warm, helpful and efficient, our family room (10) was really big with lots of character and the beds were sooo comfy - I slept better at the Mirabeau than at home. Breakfast was really good and there's loads of it - and they serve it until 12 noon! It's about 15 minutes to walk into the centre of Tours, unless you choose to lose yourselves in the warren of old streets on the other side of the (admittedly busy) road like we did. I recommend the Mirabeau very highly - we will definitely return.

Very good hotel in quiet neighborhood
We stayed here as a base to explore the area in mid September. Arriving by train, the hotel is no more than 5 minutes walk from the train station. We got a room on the 1st floor opening to a main road but it was quiet at night. The room was spacious and clean with a bit dated furniture but perfectly functional. An electric fan was provided for warm days but we hardly used it. The beds were comfortable. The staff was courteous. The breakfast was more than adequate. The WiFi worked perfectly. I can recommend this hotel to all my friends. We rented a car to explore the area. There was always a free space for public parking just across the hotel.

Fair rating in Orlean
The hotel is acceptable but has drawbacks. No elevator makes it less than optimal, and the rooms are smaller than we found elsewhere in France. The breakfast is not worth the money. The room did have a nice bathroom.

Excellent welcome, staff very friendly. Had to park out front, but staff told me to move car forward so they could see it from front desk to be sure of no damage. Good base, and easy to walk to all major sights within the city. Room clean and comfortable and breakfast was fine. would use again

Very well located, nice cosy room
Everything was perfect. I spent only one night but I was within walking distance to the Cathedral and great choice of restaurants closeby. The staff were very helpful! :) I would stay there again. The only point that could be improve would be the addition of air conditioning to the room. It was still comfortable but I couldn’t move much in the room without sweating.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large comfortable clean room and bathroom but on roadside so noisy from traffic. The rooms at the back are probably quieter. Good selection for breakfast and lovely little courtyard dining area.

Walking distance from train station.
Booked in English on line. Walked with luggage from train station. Room and bathroom was small but serviceable. Hotel is an old building but decorated in elegant contemporary style.

The positives - spotlessly clean, comfortable, large room with a powerful shower. The breakfast was a decent enough continental style breakfast. Although away from the main centre of Tours, it is actually less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and all the restaurants/shops and I was pleased to be slightly distanced from the main hub and noise. The negatives - Hotels.com details this hotel as having a 2pm check-in which was why I selected it. However the hotel denied this and was closed when I arrived until 4pm. Closed! Very disappointed. This ruined our plans for the afternoon. They apparently emailed me to let me know but I never received it. Although booked for 2 people there was only one pillow and one towel in the room so we had to request more. Not really a problem, but annoying. Also - the wifi didn't work in our room at all which was very frustrating when we wanted to book other things.

A lovely find in Tours
This was only a 1 night stop but what a lovely hotel with a very generous sized room in what was once a lovely old building. Very impressed and would recommend. The only down side was the noise from people walking on the floorboards both outside the room and above us. Hotel is very close to restaurants and as it was Christmas time the decorations in the town were lovely to see which made it quite magical.

Great headquarters.
Tours great center for visiting Chateaux in Loire Valley. This hotel is really nice, and really great value. Busy boring main street, but quiet at night and short walk to everything. Don't miss the amazing cathedral.

I would not stay again due to lack of A/C
We spent 2 days here during a heat wave, and it was not fun not having A/C for the night. Sleeping with the windows open did not help too much and it was really noisy from the street. The room was really small, nothing like the ones seen in the hotel photos, and the wardrobe/armoire in the room was looking like it belonged to one of the castles. The breakfast was good, standard, like everything we have seen in all other hotels across France. The personnel and all services we have received or asked for were awesome. Plenty of free parking on the street, just in front of the hotel.

Charming hotel, ideally located.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel, booked two rooms. The staff are great and welcoming; always there to help advise on tours or trips. The hotel is nicely located, within a short walk from the train station and the tourist information centre - from where several tours to the chateaus originate. The town centre is also nearby, and we only ever walked to and from the hotel while we were there. The hotel rooms were the biggest surprise, charming in their layout and very spacious. The free wifi was also of good quality within the hotel, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was adequate and priced at 8 euros per person.
