Great get away .

The location and surrounding area was quite easy to locate .Overall the hotel was excellent with very knowledgeable very friendly staff and a superb dinner buffet is an absolute must. Room accommodation is top notch and very quiet with a spa ammendaty as well,so just a fabulous place overall.

Family Christmas gathering

Pros: Staff were amazing, very helpful and accommodating.
Cons: Because the hotel is older, some utilities are lacking a bit. Water pressure is low, but shower was good.
Location: Enjoyed late night snack from local pizzeria.
Our family met at Elmhurst early afternoon for a Christmas lunch. Several were from out of town and stayed at the hotel overnight. The staff were very friendly and helpful and service was excellent. The food was great. Rooms were very nice and morning breakfast was hot and fresh. Very enjoyable location, well worth the price.

Location: absolutely nothing
not worth the money...room nothing fantastic, food expensive, no pool, only a four person hot tub

Good Morning, We are sorry to hear that you did not feel your stay was worth the cost. We are a country inn, so we are in a rural area. There are many sites in Oxford County such as local cheese artisans, craft brewery, antique shops and boutiques, the cheese museum, but they do require a drive. We so not advertise that we have a pool, I am sorry if you though we had one. All guests do have access to our hot tub, sauna and steam room during spa hours as well as our 24 hour fitness centre. On site we so have a small walking trail down in the valley by the pond. There are other more developed trails in the area that our front desk can direct you to. Easy access off the 401

Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. On site services were what we were looking for.
Cons: Exercise facility needs attention to both equipment ( treadmill was broken and tv barely functioned)
Location: Very easy access off the 401. Close to London.
Elm Hurst Inn and Spa was selected for our mother-daughter mid week visit and "get away". We used the spa services and were very pleased with the service, ease of booking ( on line) and the fact that it was located within the inn building. It was undergoing some renovation, so there was some disruption associated with the work that was being done, though once completed it will provide additional offerings for spa guests. The dinner in the restaurant was in a beautiful, well appointed dining room. Service was attentive and the food was quite good. The breakfast buffet that was provided with our stay was plentiful and had generous offerings of both hot and cold foods. The staff in the breakfast room were friendly and very considerate of guest needs. We attempted to make use of the exercise room located in the Carriage House, but found most of the equipment to be in a state of disrepair. The grounds on which the inn is located provided for a lovely area to take a stroll or short walk, though, for those looking for less aerobic activities. The only disruptions to a quiet stay came as a result of poor behavior by other guests but were managed quite well by the inn staff. We would definitely elect to stay here again and would recommend the inn to others.

The stay that never was ....

We booked the Elmhurst Inn several months in advance for a wedding. I checked my reservation the morning of the event and everything seemed confirmed. After the ceremony, I went to check into the Elmhurst only to be told they had been overbooked and didn't have a room for us. Although the staff at the Elmhurst was very helpful in arranging alternate accomodations, I was disappointed overall that such an overbooking could occur. We were told that hotels.com had been attempting to notify us of the issue all day. In reality, our only contact from them was an email sent at 2:45pm, 15 minutes prior to the wedding ceremony starting. I have used hotels.com several times successfully but now question booking again if I can't trust that my confirmed reservation will guarantee I'd have a room to stay in.

Short Get Away

The stay was very pleasant unfortunately there was some construction in the area at the time of our visit. Our meals were terrific, the manager and staff were very professional and treated us very well. We very much enjoyed our stay.
