Nice staff I have ever encountered!

Posted Oct 13, 2017
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: We had a very nice but short walk to almost everything. The Rusty Scupper Restaurant was not worth the walk!
From the moment we pulled up outside in the courtyard we were greater and made to feel at home at the "castle"! One of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever spent time at! We have found our new home while visiting Baltimore Waterfront.

Scott, we're glad to know that you and your wife enjoyed such a great stay with us at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore! I'm delighted that our team members made a great impression by delivering such friendly, helpful service. The hotel as you've noted is within easy walking distance to so many wonderful places to visit, shop, and dine. We look forward to hosting you both each time you return to Charm City!

early check in policy is a sham

Posted Oct 9, 2017
beautiful location, clean room, but only decaf coffee and tea available in the lobby in the morning. Said reg coffee machine was broken but when we ordered room service we got real coffee. over all disappointed in friendliness of staff and how establishment is managed. Which is a large part of the experience . Won't be booking there again, wasn't worth the money spent. Shame too because we will be visiting area often to visit our son who is attending Loyola college for the next four years.

Anthony, I'm disappointed to see your comments about your experience as our guest. We regularly check in guests early, but we can only do so when availability allows; following a sellout that is close to impossible. Our staff is regularly recognized for excellent service and extreme friendliness. I'm glad that you enjoyed your spacious, recently redesigned guestroom as well as our ideal location just across the street from the Inner Harbor and its array of shops, restaurants, and places to visit. I certainly hope you'll give us another try the next time you visit your son!

Great Inner Harbor location

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: Lovely place and great location.
Cons: Cut back on the AC a bit.
Location: Inner Harbor has lots of fun things to do, too many to mention here.
Really like this hotel and have stayed there before. But every time (I'm always there in summer or early fall) the halls and rooms are chilled way too much with AC. You can somewhat control the rooms but not the halls... If it weren't for this, I'd give the hotel five stars.

Larry, thank you for staying with us again at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore! I'm glad that you enjoy our ideal location just steps from so many great places to visit. I apologize that you find the guest corridors to be too cool--we've set the temperature this way at the request of many other guests. I hope you'll continue to stay with us during your trips to Charm City!

Great location

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: location and charm
Cons: makes sure advertised info is correct
Location: great location to inner harbor
Overall our stay was good. You could tell that this is a older hotel that has been updated very nicely but still retained some of that "old" charm. I selected the hotel based on location, room size, and bedding options listed on Expedia. However, the room information indicated that a rollaway bed could be requested. I liked this option because I have a teenaged son and daughter who do not really want to sleep in the same bed. I was disappointed - as were my kids - when we arrived and learned that it is a law that you cannot have a rollaway bed in a room which already has two beds due to some fire hazard issue. The room was huge - one of the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in so we were a little confused why having a rollaway bed would be a fire hazard. Either way, I wish the information on Expedia would have been correct as I would have selected a different hotel which could accommodate our needs.

Kristin, thank you for staying with us recently at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore. I'm glad that you enjoyed our new look and new vibe following our recently completed $11 million property renovation. We are ideally located steps from so much to see and do along the banks of the beautiful Inner Harbor. I apologize about any confusion regarding our listing on Expedia. No hotel is the city is permitted to place a third bed in a guestroom with two queen or two double beds, and Expedia does have information that reflects that only our king-bedded rooms permit a rollaway bed. While our guestrooms are 420 square feet, about 20% larger than the typical hotel room in Baltimore, the policy regarding bedding was set by the local Fire Marshal's office. I certainly hope you'll stay with us again the next time your family returns to Charm City; perhaps two connecting rooms would be a great option for your needs.

Decent for price-bare bones hotel

Posted Sep 22, 2017
Booked this trip for a last minute get away with my S/O. The location was perfect to the inner harbor, and a short distance from plenty of things to do. The staff was extremely helpful and so friendly- they redeemed the stay for sure. A huge issue and complaint was the construction outside. They are building a stones throw away from the hotel and began work at about 7am. It was hard to relax let alone get any rest with the sound of beeping and construction trucks/cranes. The hotel itself was quiet- we barely saw another person but they really should warn you upon booking about the construction or perhaps not book guests on that side of the hotel if possible. Again, not the hotels fault about what is happening outside, but we were not expecting that when we got there. We also ordered room service at 9pm and unfortunately hours went by with no response after the order was placed. Ordered a pizza from Domimos in the mean time that arrived before our hotel food. (We're talking 3 hours we waited for a sandwich.) Other than that the hotel served its purpose but it's definitely suited for going out and not for having a cozy lazy night in.

Thank you for staying with us recently at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore. The hotel has been at full capacity all but a few nights in the month of September; because there are no guestrooms across the hall from one another, noise does not travel between our guestrooms and the hotel feels quiet and peaceful when we are sold out. I'm glad that you enjoyed our ideal Inner Harbor location, just steps from an exciting array of shops, restaurants, and attractions. I apologize that the construction taking place 1.5 blocks north of the hotel disturbed you early in the morning. We are excited that a 48-story luxury apartment building with ground-floor retail ad a restaurant will be located so close to our hotel, as our guests will certainly benefit. There's no excuse for your In-Room Dining order taking more than 30-45 minutes and I hope our staff took care of the issue to your satisfaction. I hope you'll give us another try the next time you visit Charm City!

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay with us. I'm a bit confounded by your feedback, as we recently completed an $11 million renovation of our guestrooms, guestroom corridors, and public space. Our guestrooms are the largest in the Inner Harbor area, and feature modern furnishings and amenities. Perhaps you are referring to the classic look of the hotel courtyard and lobby, which are intentionally designed to remind travelers of a turn-of-the-century English manor home. I'm glad that you found our team to be friendly, and I wish we could have done more to make you more pleased with your visit.

Xavier, thank you for your stay with us at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore. I'm glad that you enjoyed the hotel's iconic Inner Harbor location right across the street from the many shops, restaurants, and attractions, along with the friendly, helpful service from our Front Desk team. I apologize for the poor service at the pool--there are no attendants on duty there, so perhaps you are referring to the maintenance team that treats the pool, and I will share your comments with the team as a reminder that their smiles and friendly demeanor is noticed when absent. We hope to host you again soon in Charm City!

Management staff was rude and unprofessional.

Posted Sep 6, 2017
My wife and I have been travelling together for over 35 years and this was the most unprofessional and rude management staff we have ever encountered. We terminated our stay early to avoid this unpleasantness despite incurring additional flight costs to do so. It was money well spent. Beware--Never book this hotel.

Richard, I certainly apologize for the poor service experience you've described. I wish I was at the hotel at the time this occurred so that I could have spoken with you in person and made things right. A quick look at the other guest reviews demonstrates that we are renowned for our service levels, and I am sorry we let you down.
