Resort accommodations near Universal & I4

We spent four nighys at Westgate and it was lovely. My adult son and two of his friends accompanied my husband amd myself on the trip and the space was perfect. The rooms were large, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of ammenities. We played games on the balcony while enjoying the sunset, played chess with the nearly life sized chess board, and enjoyed the in room jacuzzi. It is well positioned to get where you want to go, being close to I4. There were many opportunites to take part in activities on site such as pedal boats, basketball, mini golf, biking, and more but we were unforunately not staying long enough to get involved. I loved the gym -- the facilities were extensive and well maintained. The check-in desk staff person who worked with us was amazing - very much appreciated him. Loved our stay and would definitely go back and plan to spend some time on site.

It was a beautiful hotel but we had no big towels so you had a use a little ones to dry ourselves

Looks better than it is

Upon our stay we thought this hote was way too nice for us. Once we made it in our room, it was a different story. Our room didn't have working A/C and we didn't realize our fridge didn't work until the following morning when we had to throw away our food that needed to be refrigerated. Also, the ice machine in our building did not work as well. So it was a BLAST walking across a parking lot to get ice... After two different people came to fix our issues in our room, they weren't resolved upon returning to our room hours later. We moved to another room hoping for working air and a fridge. Our A/C did not work in our new room as well. That was finally fixed and worked very well. One of the biggest "benefits" here is a large property that offers 'plenty of shuttles making it unnecessary to walk to places'. This would have been nice if there was a set schedule for shuttle times. We were nearly the furthest building from the main office and did not get to use the shuttle once. We had to walk the whole way there. We took the "free shuttles" to the Disney world and Universal Studios parks which were nice. We felt uncomfortable upon reading signs all over the shuttles asking for tips for the rude drivers. This hotel made me decide from now on, im staying at a Disney hotel. I did not like needing to pay an extra $100 resort fee for amenities I didn't want. Especially when my most important ones wanted (A/C, fridge and ice machine) weren't available for me.

Great Hotel and Great View.

The hotel was amazing... Only thing that is keeping me from a perfect was that the maids missed our room twice for cleaning. One of them did not know English so there was no way to explain what we needed.

Resort I'll come back to!

Great choice for anyone. I have traveled a lot and I really enjoyed this experience and wished I would have stayed longer. Tons of pools and hot tubs to choose from and a map of amenities that would take at least 3-4 days to complete. Fun for all ages. Great view and the in room jacuzzi is big enough for 2-3 people. Definitely a really nice day time.

Very nice resort, staff was pleasant. Not convenient for going to and from the parks, not in walking distance to anything. Hotel shuttle hours limited so, uber/taxis seem to be the norm for getting anywhere.

Pros: relaxing
Cons: rooms could be upgraded
everything was ok it is time for an upgrade .spider webs all around the door trims. clean the patios teach staf f to be more professional.
