Pool to ourselves!Posted Sep 28, 2015
Cons: A little more in depth vacuuming.
Location: Race Track was close.
Nice stay for the price. My kids had the pool to themselves and they loved it.

Could be nicerPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: The facility has good bones. The one hotel staff member did a good job.
Cons: Fix the doors, paint the walls, replace the cheap furniture with nice grade products, just reinvest in the business.
Hotel staff consisted of one nice lady, who checked us in at night, restocked the breakfast items, checked us out and cleaned the room. Hotel did have clean beds, not the most comfortable. The breakfast was like most in this chain; not a good quality just something available. Hotel facility was once a really nice hotel, but has not had any serious reinvestment in the property. The carpet looks like it was from the early 90s. The pool side chairs are a cheap plastic kind. The doorway smelled like cigarette smoke. The walls needed to be painted and the white door leading into the lobby was dirty. This hotel has so much potential.

A bit of a dumpPosted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: It was clean. Parking was right by my door, which was convenient.
Cons: Furnishings and carpet are cheap and well past their prime. Insufficient lighting. As mentioned before, no bath towels.
Location: Just off I-90. Very small town with limited availability of food.
I kicked myself after staying here that I hadn't spent a bit more for something nicer. Get this -- there were no bath towels!

Good rest stopPosted Jul 8, 2015
Older motel, good for a nights sleep. Room was clean, but with an indoor pool the humidity in the whole place was a little high, and made it seem a little musty. Nonetheless, breakfast was very good, and the staff very friendly. Would have been nice if the room air conditioner was on prior to arrival to lower the humidity.

GoodPosted Jul 1, 2015 on Hotels
The room was great. The pool happened to not be working. We left our function to go to the lounge but it was closed at 11:05 Saturday night. That was disappointing for sure. We missed the breakfast so can't comment on that. Might stay again if in the area.

gorgeous wood and rock 70s architecture pool roomPosted Jun 30, 2015 on Hotels
it seems like all of Iowa was advertising "no frills" stay for twice the price we can find in Ok,Mo,At or Tx and we wanted a hot tub to rest are aches. It is older in style but the pool room is huge beautiful cederwood and giant beams that no one could afford to build plus rock work, some funky 80 s wallpaper but what a treat to see wheel preserved room forpool. Breakfast egg bagel was fine plus and less than all the no frills motels of Iowa!!

Dirty, disappointing stayPosted May 26, 2015
Cons: Hotel needs a serious upgrade. Certainly does not warrant the rating given by Expedia
First room they assigned to us was not made up. Dirty with bedding on the floor. Second room was very dingy and old. Requested a refund but they denied it because I had purchased on Expedia. Hot breakfast consisted of frozen eggs and sausage that had to be microwaved
