Okay hotel terrible morning staff

Posted Apr 9, 2018
We had a "late check-in" (we were coming into town overnight so like 6am) which i didnt mind paying for the night before to be able to check in in the morning. However, the staff that morning was so RUDE! The lady at the desk who I later found out was the manager was VIDEO CHATTING during peak foot traffic time. When i went to check in she was focussed on her call and not her customer service. Then there was another lady who was rude asking if I was the "no show" all arrogant like. I was tired and already upset from being detoured coming in, and they made a TERRIBLE first impression However I would love to also say how great Leslie was. I called to check my reservation and asked a question she didn't know the answer to but was very professional. She got my best call back number and preferred name and returned my call with a detailed answer in a very timely manner. Then once I met her on day two she really made me feel welcomed and made my stay a little more comfortable. She was probably the best thing about that hotel from my experience.

I do apologize for your experience with my front desk staff, this is not the experience we want our guest to have, With that being said I checked my video after also speaking with my front desk manager, and I seen where you came in but I did not see where she or anyone of my other staff that was up front on their phones video chatting. However I have shared your experience with her. I do apologize again ! Thanks, Renee Fontenot, General Manager

Fleas!

Posted Apr 7, 2018
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: If this hotel is going to allow pets, they need to ensure there are no fleas, and be extra-conscious about cleanliness.
I was surprised to learn that this hotel allowed pets of all shapes and sizes, including large dogs. I was assured by the desk clerk that animals had never been allowed to stay in my assigned room, so I decided to stay. Obviously, this was not true, as my room was infested with fleas and "no-see-ums". The room was less than clean, the carpet was filthy, the pillows smelled like a doggie bed and the sheets were worn and pilled, so they were very scratchy. When I told the front desk about the fleas, I was told the hotel was sprayed once a month and that there were no fleas. No apology, no attempt to make things right--basically telling me I was making it up. Six days later, and I am still covered in flea bites. If you don't want to spend a miserable night being eaten alive, don't stay here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I do apologize for my staff for being inconsiderate with your experience. However LaQuinta's are known for being PET FRIENDLY. We treat our rooms weekly, not monthly, even our non pet rooms. Which LaQuinta's guidelines require us not to have designated rooms. Sorry for your bad experience!!!!!!!

Great hotel! Only problem--Do not follow the directions on the Expedia app. It's on exit 43.

I had to drive to Jennings, but this hotel was much nicer than any of the options there. Was worth the 20 min

Nice staff and clean. Hard to find the parking lot to the hotel at night. WiFi was horrible. And it took all night for the room to cool down. When got into room it was 75 and muggy.

Depends on what you’re looking for.....bed was comfortable, but room had a damp/musty smell; tv buzzed for the first 2 hours or so it was on (any channel); fridge wasn’t plugged in (found out after 2 hours of wait), had to move furniture to plug it in. Location was next to construction/lumber yard (?), heard the trucks reversing fairly early in the morning as they were working. Garbage bags were only emptied, not switched out after last guest (beer bottle cap still in one garbage can). Towels were limited in room....unfolded one & a long dark brown hair was entwined in it. Breakfast had a lot of variety & the staff serving/preparing were attentive. Front desk staff was not overly friendly, but also not rude. Fairly quiet otherwise, but was not full when I stayed there.
