great escape
nice cozy log cabin looking house tucked away near Powderhorn Mt - close to so many great attractions in the UP. Overall we had a great time, the house was very accommodating, but I do have some critical feedback if you are looking for honesty and a chance to improve. 1. communication with property management (Powderhorn Lodge Association) was horrible. i sent several emails and left multiple voice mails asking questions, and requesting extended checkout time. Nobody ever replied to me. I will give the benefit of the doubt that because of Covid-19 times, they are not fully staffed in the office, so their communication is probably not as good as it usually is. But that was 1 glaring need for improvement. 2. The appliances in the house are a bit dated and why is there is no laundry unit? we stayed there 6 nights, which incuded a lot of physical outdoor activities. would have been very nice to have laundry unit. I can't imagine during skiing season and not having a laundry unit for such a big house. 3. The hot tub is not available during the summer, and this detail was left out of your VRBO description, so that was misleading and extremely disappointing to discover when we got there. i understand that perhaps during the summer months, there are less tenants staying, so the upkeep is expensive. perhaps the property managers can charge a fee for summertime hot tub use. we totally would have paid extra for it.

What a wonderful trip!
We very much enjoyed our stay here! The kitchen was well-stocked, the linens were provided, both fireplaces were nice, and the location was near some beautiful trails and waterfalls. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. I highly recommend this cabin!

Great location and perfect for our family. Great space, room for games and family meals.
We've been coming up to Powderhorn for the last 18 years. Now that our children are grown and have significant others we enjoy a large space with rooms on three levels. The owner provided many little extras that we were happy to have including games and baking and cooking ingredients. The unit was warm and cozy with several lounging areas. Perfect ski on and walking distance to the main lodge. We'd love to rent this unit again!
