Pros: Hotel wasn't too full. So we could have peaceful stay
Cons: Some places need to be renovated
Location: There are basically nothing around the hotel. But beach is becutiful. Pool is big. You can easily spend couple of days in the hotel.
Beautiful and great location. We went there for our wedding anniversary and it turned out to be the perfect place to stay. Great staffs and good food. Communication wasn't great but I guess that's how it is to travel in Japan.

this is my first visiting Ishigaki Island.I stayed there for 4 days. It's located between the airport and down town.So the transportation was very comvenient not only going to the airport and down town in a 20 minuts by taxi.We can also go there by buses.A lot of tourrists can go for sightseeing many sights of island before leaving Ishigaki Island There were some restaurants,Sushi,Italian, and comvenience store in front of the Hotel,Of cause there are good restaurants in the hotel. It's depend on the tourists. My favorite thing is the big bath like a Onsen located in Spa.It's a nice view from windows during sinking the big bath. It's very comfortable and made me reluxed.Of cause they have a nice garden with swiming pool, charch for weding and golf course. We can reach to a beautifl shore on foot.

Excellent resort hotel in Ishigaki

Pros: Excellent facilities, excellent staff.
Cons: No adult swimming pool (a deep pool), so not ideal for swimming as the only alternative is about waist deep. Good for paddling about however.
Location: 2,000 yen by cab to the airport, 1,000 yen to town. Local buses are regular and cheap to both locations. Not much near the hotel however.
This is a certainly an expensive hotel, but is well worth the expense, especially when considering the local competition for hotels in the area. If you so wished, you could probably spend all your time in the hotel grounds. The rooms are generously proportioned (for Western standards) with excellent views - we had a sea view with a balcony. Rooms are very comfortable, with an extensive pillow menu so you can choose a pillow to suit. Rooms feature proper blackout blinds, no annoying flashing lights from TVs etc, and the refrigerator is silent. Air conditioning is very quiet and extremely effective. Meal options at the hotel are pretty wide ranging, with several restaurants. We tried two and found the food to be excellent in each case. The cooking is probably better than that found elsewhere on the island. Lunch is good value at the hotel, dinner can ranges from mid-range to very high end. But a couple could easily eat here for 6,000 yen for an evening. Facilities are good with indoor and outdoor pools (although both very shallow and not ideal for swimming), a beach, golf, and spa/onsen on-site. The consierge at the hotel is very helpful and able to book or suggest many events/locations. Transport to and from the hotel is decent. A cab is about 2,000 yen to the airport, 1,000 yen to town (there are local buses in both cases) and there is also transport by private minibus to various events. Relatively little within walking distance to the hotel however.

Great concierge!

Pros: Spacious rooms, large and fun pool, nice beach. Great concierge!
Cons: Less expensive options for meals.
Location: There is direct access to the beach for snorkeling, playing on the inflatable floatables, or renting a water bike, kayak, and more. Not far from town
We had a group of 14 and all had a nice time. There were issues with our check-in due to the hotel not having the same info as our online bookings. We had booked for families of 4 and 5 per room, but the hotel only had it listed for 2. Due to the confusion, check-in and preparing our rooms took over an hour which made us miss dinner before the restaurants shut down. However, the rooms were plenty big, and we all had our own bed. The restaurants are all very expensive, and our kids wouldn't eat very much of what was offered, so we opted to not eat at the hotel for more than a few meals. I do want to thank the concierge staff for going out of their way to make us comfortable. Due to the confusion at check-in, concierge gave us all a free breakfast. It was also my son's birthday, and he received two free beautiful cakes that fed 8 each. One particular concierge (I wish I recalled her name) made us reservations at a restaurant that served gyoza because my son asked for potstickers and then she showed up to check on us and personally deliver a gift of chocolates to my son because he also loves chocolate. She made one happy 8-year-old and family. The restaurant also made for a wonderful experience, great food, and friendly people. We went on two tours during our visit. The first was of Toketomi Island, and I would recommend it. The other was of Ishigaki, and since that one was all in Japanese, we couldn't enjoy it as much. Overall, a great stay!
