Nice little hotel.

Posted Aug 25, 2017
We stayed there for one night, we loved it! Little bit secluded, but if you would like to unplug out of the routine, this is the perfect spot. There is bikes for rent at the hotel. The room was very basic, just the necesaty items were on the room, nothing fancy, but comfy. Continental breakfast was offered which it was really good! Homemade jams, coffee, bread, juice and a basic breakfast menu was also available for an extra charge. People was very nice & welcoming. The beach is amazing! We will come back!

If you're ever in Holbox check out Casa Blatha...a little out of the way, quiet hotel, simple, with warm hospitality, and a beach all to yourself....heaven!

This hotel is great! it is small, the staff is super warm and friendly and beyond helpful, everything is very clean and the rooms are super cute and well designed. It is located about a 10 minute walk outside of the town, so not super convenient, but also not very far. And since it is not right in the busy area of town it is super quiet very safe. And it is only a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Punta Cocos beach! Compared to other hotels in Holbox, this hotel is a great value and we would definitely stay here again.

Just steps from the beach...

The staff at Casa Blat'ha (especially Daniella!) were friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was great - homemade breads and jams, coffee, tea and juice included, and delicious items for purchase (our favorite was the omelette with chile oil). The plumbing in the beachside building was not so great, but the trade-off to staying in this building was listening to the waves at night. Rooms in the main building (plumbing included) are apparently better. 15 minute beach walk to town under the full moon - magical!

Construction right outside door from 8-7 everyday was very loud, we had to leave during the day. Everything else was excellent!

Noisy night

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Our room was freshly painted but bathroom was a little funky. Any time someone in the building uses water a loud pump goes off. Bring earplugs as the pump is active all night! Breakfasts were uninspiring: bread juice and coffee. All in all it was just ok.

Very nice stay

Cons: water pressure on the toilets and softer towels
We stayed from May 27-31, my wife and I and another couple of friends, we reserved two bedrooms. We had a great time, the staff is really good, thank you very much to Jeremias, Paula and Aura, they were very helpful and they suggested the right places to book our tours (if you decide to go snorkeling ask for Captain Carmelo, he is the MAN!). The hotel is divided in two separate buildings, one building has the reception and a very nice terrace (must-see place to look at the sunset) and the second building is where we stayed, room with a view just great. Our room was very clean, my only suggestion is to fix the water pressure for the toilets, and to have softer towels, aside from that, it was a nice clean room, with no TV wich we loved because we had to stay out of the room and enjoy Holbox and great AC, also is very very close to the beach, about 15 feet. We loved our stay in Holbox and we definetly want to go back, for sure we'll stay in this hotel. The restaurant is very good also, they have a chile habanero salsa out of this world, I actually ask the chef to sell me a jar to bring it home. This hotel is isolated from the noise in the town plaza and is close to Punta Cocos a place we really liked. Very good value for the price we payed, give it a try , you'll like it. Thanks Casa Blatha for a great time

A bit out of town, but quiet.

Posted Apr 30, 2016
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Expanded menu.
Location: Not a lot, need to hire a golf cart taxi to go back to hown.
Once checked in and saw other clients knew we were not their market. Best description would be "enviro-hippies" , save the Earth type. Nice people but personally would not return. Example : Veggie Menu only, a "Yurt" on the premise where they were all sitting around in the evening doing who knows what...
