Really helpful staff, clean room with sea view - what more to say! Only there the one night to visit friends nearby, so back late and didn't frequent the bar. Many young sailing crews were filing in at lunchtime when we arrived. Laid back breakfast - excellent quality on the English Breakfast. We ...

Lovely hotel, staff always helpful, polite and friendly. Our only complaint if you can call it that was the bar restaurant, we ate in there one evening, food nice but dogs are allowed and unfortunately that evening it had been wet and with seven dogs it was rather smelly it we would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at this little hotel. It was a little noisy as it was Saturday night but not in a way that we found disturbing. A very enjoyable breakfast served but a friendly member of staff.
We stayed for a night during our Coastal walk (see our separate review). The rooms are all refurbished with excellent showers. The bar staff were very friendly and the meals were very good with a bargain dinner offering Mon-Thurs evenings. We spoke at length with George the owner who was most helpful ...

I hate staying away on my own when working, however I was made to feel very welcome by staff when I arrived after a very long day, they could not do too much for me. I was shown to my room which was, OK on the small side but it had everything I needed and was very comfortable, I slept like a log ...
Excellent hotel in a convenient location in Sandiwn, we (wife and I ) have stayed in numerous occasions and still go back. Definitely worth a visit
I chose the hotel for its looks and coastal location. There were other properties which had sea views but this one looked more interesting. When we arrived, there were only two other guests. The next day, it was just us. However, it is the start of the season and we were very pleased with the tranquility ...
We enjoyed a Champagne afternoon tea with a choice of teas, followed later by a good Dinner in the Hotel's Restaurant. We had an upgraded room with a garden view which although small was very comfortable and well heated. Car Parking is difficult but there is a large car park behind the hotel which ...
A unique hotel with oldy world charm. A must for anyone from the sailing community. Close to all amenities in Cowes. The choice at breakfast is superb and beautifully cooked. I would recommend this hotel to anyone also it is pet friendly. A real blast from the past and so so different from the mainstream ...
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The lounge is great and my kids loved the pool table. It's a shame the indoor pool isn't heated, but once you're in and under the water it's great, so is the Jacuzzi! The rooms are really warm, even without radiators on, so there's no problem with that, ...
Ryde Castle hotel is well located (a very short walk) for public transport including the hovercraft to Portsmouth. Only a minute from the beach and a few minutes to shops and swimming pool. Service excellent, friendly atmosphere, good quality and reasonably priced food.

a bit oldy mouldy! but overall OK . Not the cleanest and beds are not very comfortable. could have been cheaper. Breakfast was good and view was nice.
It was great experience. As everyone has said in the comments that overall hotel could have been improved, my opinion would be cleanliness, and basic cosmetics would have changed the outlook. Staff was friendly. Overall good stay. Would loved it if there was a view for the sea from our window :)
