Only nice view but that's all

Posted Aug 28, 2012
Pros: The bed is comfortable
Cons: Bad smell in the room
Location: Far up hill that does not have clear road sign if you are walking or taking public transport there.
The hotel is located at the end of the road. We walked the way up the hill and it has no lighting at the entrance to show the hotel's name at night. The pictures looked nice but the hotel is actually quite old. One of our rooms have some bad smell of some dirty water leaked. The balcony is scary as it is wood and have holes in it and it looks worn out. I was scared to walk out the balcony. The breakfast is ok. The toilet feels like no one has been using it for long and have a dead spider in the toilet.

"Shabby-Chic" would best describe this hotel. OK for a one-night stay - would definately not want to spend a holiday there.

Perfect if you're seeking a "traditional" feel

Great location and perfect if you're seeking a "traditional" feel with floral decor and 70s wallpaper. We were greeted by an empty reception desk, piled high with random sheets of paper. A very flustered manager then appeared, but had no record of our booking and was busy sorting out other bemused guests. He was very apologetic and eventually found us a room. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay but were frustrated at how much better this hotel could be with a lick of paint and some organisation!
