Terrible experience, so many issues in last 12 hours so far, 1.the WiFi stopped working and they said they can't fix it. 2. The air conditioner of our room doesn't work and they said they can't change our room because there are none available 3. They didn't even give us extra blankets Horrible customer service

To whom this may concern, Unfortunately I’m writing this email because I was extremely disappointed and disheartened with my experience at Idylle hotel during my stay 07/02/24 to 12/02/24. I was appalled at the level of cleanliness of the room. The floor was not clean neither was the shower room. Significant amount of dust had accumulated and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly in a very long time. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed dust on the furniture and surfaces and asked the staff to ensure it would be cleaned properly the next day. However this did not happen and the bathroom was also not well-maintained, with visible dust and dirt in the corners. One of the main reasons why I chose this hotel was because of its cleanliness testing as I have a severe dust allergy, eczema and asthma. Maintaining a clean and dust-free environment was crucial for me and unfortunately the whole stay I had an eczema flare up and inflammation. It was disheartening to see the lack of attention to cleanliness. Not only this but another major issue was the shower which was disgusting and the pump did not even work. Future guests should not have to endure the same disappointment and discomfort that I experienced during my stay especially with a health condition. I have attached images below illustrating my frustration and level of uncleanliness. Thank you.

If youre going to spend most of your time out of your hotel its ideal the location is 10/10 does have draw backs though towels were stained noisy even with windows closed and overall condition wasnt great but as i said it was very good in terms of loaction walking distance to most places and the tram stop is literally outside which takes you to most places

Perfect location. Only problem is noise from tram below. We stayed on the first floor above the tram station so there was a lot of street noise. Breakfast is ok..basic. but location is perfect. Close to everything and in a vwry safe neighborhood. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is nothing we can do for the noise from the street because our hotel is located in the heart of the old city and Istanbul is a city that never sleeps. About the breakfast we serve prodects that are acceptable to consume in the morning. Breakfast changes based on the culture of every country and in our hotel we serve it based on our culture. A relatively old property which has been updated. Friendly and approachable staff, great to talk to. Breakfast is decent, but the quality of the toiletries is a bit cheap. Housekeeping is daily and hairdryer provided. The rooms take 2 pin plugs, please take an adapter if needed. All attractions are walking distance or easily commutable with the Tramway located outside the hotel. The hotel can reserve activities for you if requested and some local shops are discounted. Food and gift shopping otherwise is generally expensive within the local area. I would however definitely recommend this hotel to others, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for all your help!!

This hotel is not what they it's 9.6 out 10, no way I rate this hotel 4 out o10 the only good thing is the area around it. this hotel operates with one employee after 3:00 pm, no service at all, what ever you get it yourself. the room was not clean, the bathroom has not been mapped for a while with mold in the shower.

Great hotel to stay very close to everything for tourist, great restaurants around and the breakfast at the rooftop was very good. John one of the Reception attendants was extremely helpful and very supportive, highly recommended him and this place.

Good deal for budget traveler. Tiny room, as expected for the price in the heart of the Istanbul tourist area. Short walk to Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cistern, and Grand Bazaar. Nice hike up to Galata tower. Allow 1.5 hours in rush hour to/from airport or bus station, much less in early morning.

I felt completely misled by expedia reviews of the place. It's a shabby hotel right in the middle of kitschy tourist central. Metro stop right outside the door which adds to the noise. The front desk was very gracious in letting us depart early as we were very unsatisfied with both the location and hotel.

The staff were superbly friendly & helpful and it's great that the Big Bus Company is right next door, so handy for booking day trips. Location of the hotel is superb - in walking distance for top attractions, e.g. Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace & Basilica Cisterns. Highly recommended!

Great stay
Overall this was a great hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The good: Service was great - concierge, restaurant, bellboy, great recommendations Location was ideal - next to tram, major attractions, convenient to the Golden Horn, restaurants, etc. Rooftop is really nice, although it's not a real bar (no alcohol) Very accommodating staff, especially with baby The bad: Breakfast quality could have been better Bathrooms were a bit stark, could do with better lighting and more thorough cleaning Hallway carpets need to be freshened up WiFi was a bit spotty

Great stay in this Istanbul Boutique hotel
What a great experience, From the moment we walked through the doors, Cemil/Onur the hotel manager made us feel welcome. he went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, even giving us a free upgrade. The breakfast were good especially the view from the terrace restaurant overlooking the Topkapi palace gardens and the view of the Bosphurus. The 2 other staff were also incredible. It can be abit noisy as the hotel is right next to a tramway, but it didnt bother us that much.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Idylle Hotel. The location is ideal for going to the major sightseeing locations, but the hotel staff are what made the biggest difference. The entire hotel team really went above and beyond to be helpful and hospitable- they were so friendly and always willing to assist me. I would come back to the hotel just for this reason.

Absolutely loved our stay here. I have been to countless hotels, all 4 and 5 stars and I have never experienced this level of customer service. Such lovely staff, every single one of them was kind, courteous and welcoming. Beautiful hotel and even upgraded us for free! Wonderful breakfast and gorgeous decor in the rooms. Amazing location, within walking distance to most of the major sights. Cannot say enough good things , thankyou to all the staff there. Special mention to the hotel manager and all of the porters.

Before even arriving at the hotel Cemil, the hotel manager sent a personal greeting and information about Istanbul. He made transport arrangements, guide arrangements and even updated me on the new Istanbul airport change. There motto is more than a room. Cemil and all his staff create that atmosphere for a fantastic stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing and the location is perfect

I chose Idylle Hotel base on public review and it was not a disappoint. On the other hand it was an excellent choice. Located extremely convenient in the old town of Istanbul. Walking distance to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi and Bhosphorus. Close to Tram station. The staffs were amazingly friendly and helpful. The manager Cemil & Orun was extremely nice. They allowed us early checkin and knowing that me & my friend will be staying in the room, he automatically offered to change the queen bed to twin room. Which is what we after. He even personally hand written a welcome letter for us. The night reception ( sorry I forgot the name ) was very kind. When we told him that we will be leaving early morning prior to restaurant open hour, he offered us sandwiches & juice to go. Very impressed. The porters were very nice and prompt in helping. The room is not big but neat, clean and sweet. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely come back to stay here. A place where you feel welcome & well taken care.. Thank you Idylle !
