A true 4 star hotel within a few minutes walking distance to Sultanahmet Square. Very clear and quiet and the staff are brilliant. Next time I come Istanbul I’ll look no further.

Great view to the hippodrome wall, breakfast is being discontinued, so you have to explicitly ask for it if you booked it with breakfast. Breakfast options were ok, appreciated freshly made omelettes.

I had a great experience staying at the hotel. It has connection to a Tram line and a Bus stop nearby. Location wise, from the airport it is quite far, very heavy traffic by road and by public transport it's very difficult to get here. But once you are here at the hotel, it is the best place to explore Istanbul. Additionally, the hotel staff is really good. Had a great interaction with Mr. Bega. A very responsible and kind person.

I liked the location of the property. The places which I wanted to visit in Istanbul were all within a 15 minute walking distance and so this was very convenient for me. Breakfast is served on the terrace/balcony area. There's a good view from there. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was where the hot water stopped working for a day. Staff informed me that there had been an issue with the boiler and it would be fixed in the afternoon and that is what happened. These things happen.

I and everyone who comes with me Love everything about Erguvan! Amazing stuff, Murat and Ozzi are like family now. Always welcoming and very supportive! Have been staying in this hotel with family and friends , everyone Loves it. Breakfast is the Best in town , and the location is awesome! Very close to main historic sites and transportation ! Never wanted to stay at any other place but Erguvan. We travel to Istanbul every year and always stay here for the past 13-15 years. Having been disappointed by another hotel, we had to hastily find alternative accommodation and Erguvan was one of the closest. We booked one night but extended for another day as the accommodation facilities were reasonably ok and we had no time to look for alternative accommodation again. Erguvan provides basic accommodation. Although it is listed as a 4 star, it is not a 4star hotel by far. Little did I know that the 1 day extension through the hotel would result in unpleasantness. We were required to pay in Euro and unknown to us banks charge an extra R10 Euro to withdraw Euros from the ATM. We saw a side to Ozzo (Owner/Manager) we did not like and were glad we were leaving. The rooms had 2 left side slippers, the handheld shower was broken, the fridge was not working. Breakfast was unusual and unappetising, we didn't like it all. We saw unhygienic practices where a guest held bread with their hand while cutting it and unknowingly the next guest would cut the piece held by the previous guest. Fruit vendors in Turkey had fresh fruit so it was disappointing that the fruit served was not fresh. My 14 year old son and sister had no interest in trying out the breakfast the second day because of the previous day's disappointment. Personally, we would not stay at the hotel again.
