This was my first time staying in Istanbul, the hotel staff was very helpful in arranging for transport to and from airport at ok price, and in giving suggestions for activities. Walking distance to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, as well and Grand Bazar. Only criticism is that the room had smell of smoking in it, so i had to keep the airconditioner fan working the whole time to get rid of the smell.

Rude, dirty and stinks of smoke. Did not help with luggage and made us feel intimidated. The practically kicked us out from their lobby after arriving early hours of the morning while waiting for check in. Toilets are disgusting and dirty. Luggage was left in the corridor where any one could have walked off the street and taken it. Unsafe and not family friendly. Would never ever recommend. We have to pay an extra £800 to stay at another hotel. The workers here are liars - lying to Expedia saying we had check in and that we were given a deluxe room - lies! We booked standard and we didn’t even get to the room after your rudeness!

Scammers! They’re trying to scam with us on 1st October when I reached at hotel daphne they sent us to another hotel for night stay and when we checked out on 4th October they demand more money and behave rudely. Manager behaviours isn’t good. Be aware they scam with tourists

HELLO...MRS...NAEEMThere was a problem in your room because of the bathroom and we stayed at our hotel next door for the first night.....The next day we took you to our hotel and your reservation was standard and we gave you a deluxe sea view room......Since the extra person is with you, we have to take payment from you and our friend warned you because you spoke abusive to the floor friend....I personally heard you talking on camera and next to me by being rude at receptions...we were surprised to see that there was no appropriate behavior for you...

The staff was polite and respectable. They did their best to help us.The hotel is clean. Our reservation was a standard room, but they put us in the first day in an economy room, but in the second day they transfered us to a standard room. Something which was very disappointed, there was a door between us and the next room, we could hear everything from the voice of the next guests !! it was so disturbable!!

They used picture on the site form 2004 . The hotel does not look like the picture it is catfishing . Staff are rude especially the cleaning lady she was rolling her eyes every time I asked for something. She got mad a few time she was yelling at her language at us . Not a customer service environment. Ppl are plain rude their. Room had mold on selling.

The hotel lies in a walking distance to the old bazar and the museums, the traffic in the area is horrible, so be aware not to rent a car if you are staying in this area in general. The hotel itself is old, but kept functional as much as possible, it is clean with daily room service. Rooms of reasonable size, the views towards Marmara sea are good from the top floor. As good as a budget hotel can be, functional clean rooms, and polite and helpful staff. The roof terrace was closed as per previous reviews so i doubt if it will ever be open.

Terrible customer service. Booked connected rooms 3months in advance. When arrived, staff said to wait for 2 hours as no room is available and then allocated two separate rooms. Washrooms exhaust were out of service. After complaining, changed the room after 2 nights stay. Water supply was cutoff one morning for 3hours without any notice that ruined our schedule for entire day.. Specially requested to extend our check out time as international flight was late at evening but they didn't listen and refused. Staff is rude and unpleasant. Not recommended at all. Poor customer service.

I am only giving this review on my personal experience. I requested a double bed but was given two single beds. The toilet door could only be unlocked by a toothpick. There was no blinds on the windows so light would always show in the mornings. As there was no kettle, I had to purchase my own I asked for some sugar and was told I had to buy this and they couldn’t give it. From my experience this was not a 4 star hotel as the breakfast that was included was just a small table and I had go out and eat in a cafe where I paid 70 liras for a decent breakfast, and the rooms felt really small in the hotel. I can’t complain about the location as it was 2 mins walk to the blue mosque, I came across 5 staff members one was arrogant and the other 4 were perfect.

hello, such a thing is out of the question and if you come to the reception and talk, friends will help you for the room and because you got off late for breakfast, breakfast time is over.. breakfast time starts at 07:00 and breakfast ends at 10:00, best regards.

The worst hotel in good location
Lots of noises at night... Smell really bad..old food/breakfast,, bed bugs,, bothersome noise of running and dropping water from the bathroom . It's like hostel not a hotel. Our room number was 403 and paid $65 for one night. It wasn't worth for even $20! Never ever again.

the very best side of daphne hotel
it hard to find the location at first mybe coz of our dumb driver hahaha, i really love the sceneric rooftop view it was amazing, for the stay it a bit spacey our room for 3 people plus the sofa that i think not necessary to have inside the room, but so far very nice and comfort

The hotel does not value the price. the owner is too stingy. I noticed they put moldy cake in breakfast. No juice is offeredd,Breakfast is geberally poor.I booked a standard room with a sea view. Oktay(receptionist) said that the photoes on the website is not important. You can not have a sea view room!! while the photo for the standard room was showing it has a sea view. He embarresed me infront of my girlfriend and asked for me extra 50 euro to have a sea view. I paied 40 and he gave me a receipt of 80 euro room claiming and pretending that he already gave me discount. But after a few days I noticed that the receipt does not blong to me, and it is a receiot for other peaople, not me. In addition, Once at 8 am in the morning, i was naked sitting behind my laptop. suddenly one of the receptionists opened our room door, without any pre-notification. I am sure that it was mistake, but assume that how could be if I was naked with mygirlfriend in the bed!! My girlfriend hair color destroyed one of the towels. OKtay said that I should pay 10 Turkish Lira as a compensations. I emphesized 10 Turkish lir? He said yes, But when I was cheking out, I have been charged 10 Euro!! Cleaners were kind, specially Jameel, who was wonderful. Overally, The Hotel does not value the price. you can find better one even for cheaper price.They made my mind too busy, bad memory of my vacation!

This was the second time in four years that I stayed at the Daphne and the price has certainly increased over this period! Rooms are comfortable, the breakfast offers a wide choice and it's within walking distance of the main attractions of Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc). Staff seemed a little remote and offhand and many of the items on the menu of the rooftop restaurant weren't available on the first night when we arrived late and felt like a snack.

Not bad for short stay
We spent two night there. Overall it's not bad but a second visit is not recommended. The front desk is very helpful. They will give you all the information you need. The location is great. Not just because it's only 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque but it has a small supermarket near it - just around the corner. Breakfast is average , or below average. Room is clear and comfortable. Even though wifi is unstable for specific rooms. BUT, don't join the Bosphorus Cruise they recommend. Pierre Lotti hill has a very good view about the city. But overall the trip won't worth its price. If you just want to have a kind of Europe left, Asia right feeling, just go straight to ferry and take a 25 TL full trip. Transportation: 47 TL for two ( one way), slightly cheaper than taxi. It takes 30 minutes to pick up all the guests and another 35 minutes go IST.

Great little hotel in Sultanahmet
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and were very comfortable. The room is spacious, and so is the bathroom. The staff was very helpful and curtious. It's on a hill so if you have problems getting around this hotel isn't for you.

Good hotel in the old city
I stayed at Daphne in end of June during 3 nights. Hotel is situated in very center of the old city. 10 minutes to the Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. Close to the tram station. Fantastic view from hotel terrace and good food in the restaurant. Very cosy rooms, clean and spacious. The only thing hotel is situated near pretty busy street. So till about 2 am it can be noisy in the room unless you close the windows. Which is not okay as then you'll get no fresh air. Also close distance to mosques means loud preys from minarets in the deep night. But all in all great stay and very nice stuff.
