Not a 4 star but still nice

This place was ok - not great though - but the Breakfast is amazing! Excellent location once the cab driver called to get directions as it is literally 5 min walk to blue mosque and Aya Sofia

Last minute find.

Posted Jul 28, 2015
I had to find a hotel at the last minute due to a airline mess up. The Hotel Saba Sultan was a great find and had great amenities. It was within a two block walk of some of the finest dining in Istanbul. The room was very clean and comfortable. Elevator available for upper floor stays.

Nice quiet hotel.

Nice hotel within easy walk of restaurants and the major sites of the Sultanhamet district. Pleasant helpful front desk personnel. Excellent roof top terrace with view of the Bosphorus. We stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the water and my son and daughter and law opposite us on the street side. There was no noise and we could not hear the call to prayer. The room was nice and the air conditioning worked well but only ran when you were in the room (key card controlled) so you came back to a warm stuffy room but it didn't take long to cool off. There is only a small clothes closet - no dresser so you live out of your suitcase a lot. Breakfast was typical Turkush with veggies, cheese some cereal and eggs available - very adequate but not the most appetizing for me. My son loved it. I would stay here again. One bit of advice, when you are walking up to the Blue Mosque be prepared for the constant harangue the from the carpet sellers. It's good natured but gets old very quickly. Just tell them the first day that you are not interested and stick with that mantra. They are expert at getting you into their shop and even learning where you are from and will remember you every time you go by. Restrarantaura owners are similarly persistent. There are two different paths to get up to the plaza where you visit the Blue Mosque or the Hagia Sophia. Take the one to the left and you will avoid most of the hassle. The route up past the Four Seasons Hotel has the most hassle.

Perfektes Hotel für einen Städtetrip

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Service Dachterrasse

Great view, but ---

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: View and staff
Cons: Be more reasonable about rates.
There was a big discrepancy between cost of room and quality of room. So we were disappointed. The view from our window, however, was beautiful.

Aufmerksames Personal

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Zentrale Lage, aufmerksames Personal
