My 3rd visit. Rooms have individual decoration and themes which keeps a visit interesting. Convenient for ancient Istanbul/ Constantinaople everything is walking distance. Street palking outside hotel. Beware trams when walking. Good breakfast

Valet parking a must for istanbul. Air conditioning. Elevator. Many local restaurants. Convenient for ancient Istanbul. 700m walk to hagia sophia, blue mosque , cistern, safe area. Themed rooms stayed in poems and glamour. Glamour is all black decor and mirrors

Desiner hotel in the centre of ancient Istanbul. Valet parking. Good breakfast. Elevator. Rooms have individual decorations stayed in poems and glamour. Definitely recommend glamour if you want a gothic twist. Balcony and working air-conditioning

Communication was great from start to finish with Osman. Our room was exceptionally designed with an Ottoman theme. Very comfortable bed, air conditioning worked well, shower fine. Great reception and maid service. Would highly recommend.

I did not like that there is no lobby. One of the waiters in the morning was not very interested in working. He was always looking at his cell phone and not paying attention to the guests. I asked for a room on a high floor that was quiet. I stayed for 13 nights and I had the worst room. It was very noisy and there was someone smoking next to my room that was very irritating for me. At breakfast for 3 days they had no tomatoes. All they had to do was go to the local market and buy some tomatoes. The market was a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Really lovely staff, all so friendly and helpful! The smaller size of the hotel makes it really personable. Rooms are gorgeous, each one is different. Breakfast was great each morning too!

Nice small jotel
Nice little hotel, clean, comfy and well located. Breakfast cooked to order each day which is great, but don’t expect the lavish number of choices that other hotels in the area offer. Would certainly stay again

In the center of all happening stuff
Nice and clean small hotel. Theres breakfast included but not buffet, just to be clear. However the service was super fast for breakfast. I'll recommend it for sure

this is a wonderful, intimate boutique hotel right in the middle of Sultanahmet district, just minutes walk away from Haiga Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the beautiful Topaki Palace. I would highly recommend the hotel, friendly service, homecooked breakfasts, and gorgeous Turkish-inspired interiors. The balconies were delightful, and the windows tight and shaded, making it a true respite away from the busy streets below.

Unexpected rudeness
On check in, I received a warm welcome, but the hospitality ended there. They were unhelpful in navigating travel arrangements and became aggressively rude when a friend came to visit, threatening to call the police if he didn't leave. The room was small even by big city standards and the bed linens were nice, though the mattress was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfasts were lavish and lovely and the location convenient to tourist sites, but noisy and full of tourist trap restaurants. I won't stay here again.

Staff were very helpful re: public transportation, etc. Pickup from airport as planned. Beautiful place, clean rooms, good breakfast. Great location - lots of highlights within walking distance.

Perfect location to visit old Istanbul
I stayed with my wife for a short city break. Hotel location is perfect and close to all major tourist locations. Just few minutes walking distance from Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque, Sultan Ahmed Square and Old bazar. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and clean. A must stay hotel..

Hotel Location.
Hotel is in the area close to many popular sites. Nice and clean hotel, with courteous staff. Bath room was very small, but that was expected as the hotel is located in the older part of the town. The view from the rooftop restaurant is fantastic.

Service and hotel style/condition were not great
We traveled to Turkey for two weeks for our honeymoon and this was the hotel that we enjoyed the least. Most of our hotels were in the 200-400 USD a night range, but this hotel felt VERY inferior to any other hotels we stayed in, both in terms of comfort and style as well as level of service. The rooms were carpeted and seemed a little run down, and the door to the restroom was completely transparent, which was a little awkward in such a small room! When we asked for a recommendation for dinner, the hotel sent us to a VERY touristy spot that pushed food on us and we ended up spending over $200 for a dinner that was not very good. When we told the hotel about this they dismissed us and even though they said that the manager would address this with us he/she never did. There are so many great hotels in Istanbul in more interesting neighborhoods a bit more removed from the touristy sites...I would definitely opt for a better option and pass on this hotel.

Smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
Very small room. We wanted two twin beds instead of double, but was told that it was a 25 dollar upgrade. I have never heard you have to upgrade to twin beds and steep price. Bed covering was bit rough. Staff was helpful getting a taxi ride to sabida gokgen airport. Had trouble with wifi working

Nice Boutique Hotel near Topkapi and Agia Sophia
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to major sites. (Agia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Archaeological Museum etc). Very nice staff, always ready and willing to be of service. The people at the front desk were very knowledgeable and their suggestions were always honest and very helpful. Take their advice when booking activities/tours because they know which companies are more professional. Breakfast was included and there were a number of choices very nicely prepared. We had lunch at the hotel and it was very good and affordable. Even though our room was small, it was nice and clean with crisp white linen and bath towels. The only negative comment about the room is the carpet. We would have preferred a room without a carpet. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hypnos Hotel
Quality of the service is excellent. The staff are friendly, giving you advice and tips for your trip. They can book excursions and arrange tours. The hotel location is perfect, just five minutes away from Sultanahmet park where some of the main attractions are located. It is also around 10 mins from the Galata bridge. Also there's grocers, pharmacies, souvenir shops and places to eat just round the corners. The food is the cafe downstairs was delicious. One negative point is that my room was on the first floor with the road in front of my room, so I can hear the traffic all night. I would advise you to book away rooms on higher floors and away from the road. Overall I'm enjoyed my trip in Istanbul and my stay at this hotel. I'll probably come back to this hotel and I recommend it to others.

Fabulous funky experience in Sultanhamet/Istanbul!
This was an incredibly funky hotel in great walking distance to the major attractions. But the neighbourhood also had a simple vibe about it. Although I expected it to be noisy, the room was quiet, curtains helped it remain dark when I was tired. Service was extremely friendly. They obviously enjoyed having customers to take care of.

50m from tram stop
Cool hotel with 11 different themed rooms. We took a cab from the airport and it cost us just under 50TL but if you wanted to save money and take public transport then it is located within an extremely short walk from Gülhane tram stop. It was also close to some of the major attractions.

Had to spent first night in the 2 x single beds as for some reason our room was not available. had to then change the room on the next day, where tehre was no blanket. when we got one it was for the single bed. not happy with the service. as a sorry got 250ml bottle of red wine. would not stay there again.

Excellent location, positive experience
This is a cute little place very well located and a little bit of extra effort put into design. We enjoyed the room, the location, the service and also the little bistro downstairs. The breakfast was very good. The one negative comment we have is that the receptionists were of varying standard. While two were very good, the third one clearly had difficulties in understanding us and ended up giving totally wrong advice. That seriously affected our plans, as we followed his advice and scheduled for Sunday things that turned out to be closed.

Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Altstadt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten (Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blaue Moschee, Großer Basar und Galata-Brücke) sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Frühstück wird auf Platten serviert und sehr nett angerichtet. Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, leider etwas dunkel.
