This hotel was PERFECT for me as a solo traveler with a few extra nights in Istanbul. The wifi was reliable and fast so I could get work done from my room, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was great, and it's in a very walkable area with many food options and easy access to public transport. Really ideal except for one thing - very loud at night! I could hear other guests in the halls and in their rooms (and I'm sure they could hear me too) but mostly the noise was from the street where there were loud concerts every night. It was worth it for the great location!

Horrible experience with staff- lack of communication due to language barriers tried to overcharge me for my husband staying with me in my doublebed booked room, when I asked for a bigger room they said there was none and fought me for an extra charge when I refused they kicked me out of the hotel!!! Rooms are super tight and small as well as the bathrooms. Smallest shower I’ve seen and water leaked from under the shower stand. Overall I hated the stay and the experience and never again at this hotel for sure!

Bad hospitality at maya hotel
I would definitely not recommend maya hotel . The reception staff were very unfriendly on my checking and would not assist me despite showing them my reservation details. Made us wait for a long time than gave us our room . The room was very small and the beds were very uncomfortable. The towels were old and hard like floor mats . The bathroom is so small and uncomfortable u can’t move in it . I would definitely not recommend this establishment to anyone. It’s truly a disgrace to market an establishment like this to foreign visitors .

Great location
This hotel is in the old city part of Istanbul and the location is terrific. It's very close to public transport and easy to get to from the airport. Quick walk to Grand Bizarre as well as many other historical sites. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms are clean and they have smoking rooms too. Breakfast is ok, very typically Russian with some other bits and pieces thrown in, you'll find something to eat. Over all I'd recommend this hotel for a short stay no problems.

I will recommend Maya hotel.
I was a bit skeptical to booked Maya hotel when I was searching for hotel in Istanbul. I love everything about my stay. The pictures on their website didn't do justice to the hotel. The single room is very spacious and very clean. Their breakfast also have varieties.

Very good budget hotel
Unpretentious and inexpensive, the Maya Hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing and shopping. It is a good choice for a reasonably comfortable and quiet stay of a few days in the city. The buffet breakfast offers quite a good choice. It was a surprise to hear so many guests, and some staff, speaking Russian. The hotel is in an area where Eastern European ladies go shopping for underwear to sell back home. I found the Maya's staff extremely helpful. They arranged for me to have clothes washed, dry cleaned and repaired, and when I got completely soaked in a rainstorm they kindly hung up all my wet things in a warm place for a day until they were dry. So I recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Service
Finally I found my Pearl in Istanbul. After staying in several hotels on my business trips. Hotel Maya is the best. Felt welcome with all staff smiled and had happy faces, reception staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped carry my bags every time. even managed to get me an Istanbul travel card. Good breakfast, clean cotton bed sheets, clean and comfortable room with working ac. Hotel location was great. near new Metro Vezneciler station 5 min walk on the right, on the left downhill 10min walk to Laleli and AskarayTram station. Room on 4th floor was non smoking and facing the quiet street. Will always come back to Maya Hotel and would love double bed next time not 2 beds put together. Thank you all for making my stay a pleasant one.

Smokey and Extremely Noisy
The walls are thin and so it is extremely noisy. Also I smelled cigarette smoke throughout my one week stay and upon checking out was told that it is allowed to smoke in the rooms. Many Russian speaking guests that have entire conversations in the hallway at all hours of the night. The staff doesn't speak adequate English, which gave me a hard time explaining a few problems with the shower leaks and drainage problem. Sheets/cover not cleaned as a tiny sauce stain remained till checkout. Breakfast not very fresh, but that was not a problem for me as I don't really consume breakfast.

Je recommande ce très bon hôtel
Très bon hôtel, très bon emplacement. Je n’ai pas été déçu de mon séjour chez Maya. Le personnel est très gentil et à l’écoute si vous avez besoin. Les chambres sont simple et de taille normal. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et varié. L’hôtel est situé dans une bonne. Ville et les transports ( Metro, tram, bus) sont à deux minutes.

отличное соотношение цена/место/качество
останавливался на 1 сутки. В целом понравилось. Хорошее месторасположение, рядом Grand Bazaar, метро, трамваи). Доброжелательный, отзывчивый персонал, говорят неплохо по-русски, отличный WiFi в номере (жил на 2-ом этаже), хороший турецкий завтрак (яйца, жареные сосиски, овощи, курица, салат, кофе, чай, джемы и пр.). Рекомендую.

temiz ve küçük bir odada kaldım. mobilyalar eskiydi. klima sorunsuz fakat bazen gürültü yapıyordu. kahvaltı sade idi. konum olarak harika bir yerde. ödenen ücreti hakeden, daha fazlasını aramayanlar için tercih edilebilir.

Прекрасное местоположение.
Мы отдыхали с 2-мя сестренками в этом отеле. Все было очень даже хорошо, отель расположен в самом центре старого города, пешком дошли до достопримечательностей. Очень понравилось отзывчивость персонала, номер чистый, уютный, завтрак вкусный, только звукоизоляция не очень хорошая.
