This is a storied hotel of Agatha Christie fame.Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Convenient, friendly staff, good beds. Wonderful sense of history and drama . At each floor are tables and pictures of the Pera Palas in its past.
Cons: I wish we had more time here.
Location: We walked the many streets and allies full of lively tavernas, restaurants, shops and people having a good time. Plants curl up the balconies .
The intrigued life of Europeans in fabled Istanbul began at this hotel when they left the Orient Express. All the gorgeous marble and embellishment has been reinstated in a wonderful hotel with public rooms that are fantasies. We stayed in the Greta Garbo room that was large, comfortable , and updated but respected. The bath was a prime example of modern convenience with marble walls and floors ,and a view intoTaxsim Square. A French sugar pink confectionary with glass and mirrors galore was just one of the corners that delighted in the public areas.

Excellent one of a kind experiencePosted Aug 30, 2015
I knew I was booking a period hotel, but it s literally like stepping back in a magical time. The hotel is a pearl only comparable to those chateaus or castles in Europe. All details are there, from the spa to the concierge. If you like period hotels, this souls be your choice.

Pera PalacePosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Convenient location and being made to feel very welcome by the staff.
Location: Tamsin. Close to the Bosphorus and all the major tourist sites.
I first visited the Pera Palace in 2003 and it was clear that it was in desperate need of updating. It has now had a complete overhaul and I was not disappointed with the changes. A beautiful and elegant hotel with very polite and friendly staff.

Gorgeous Historic Property in Best NeighborhoodPosted Aug 24, 2015
This is a wonderful hotel, close to but not in the purely tourist parts of Istanbul. Outstanding service, beautiful terrace for an evening coffee, five star rooms. Would not change a thing.

An experience not to be missed. Loved our stay.Posted Aug 5, 2015
The hotel has a unique history. It's beautifully refurbished and the staff are very obliging. We loved the area as well. Located in the middle of such a beautiful and convenient part of Istanbul. Rooms were so quiet as well. This is very hard to find in such a busy location. Istanbul and pera palace hotel should be experienced together.
