Location is great, service is excellent, rooms are clean in general. The only thing I would change is the shower in 401. Pressure is not adequate and hot/cold water is difficult to control. Everything else is pretty spot on.

True experience. My stay at.q.hotel istanbul Sultanahmed. Was outstanding from the entire staff. The room was much more than i expected. Clean smart comfortable. Stocked up daily with snacks. The hotel is very well-located within walking distance to all major attractions in the old city. It is close to a tram station - very useful. The standard room is very small and could use some restoration but it has AC which was nice.Bathroom with shower, pretty clean, but we got a towel which had 4 holes in it and was extremely dirty (see pic). Breakfast is basic and open between 8:00 and 10:30. We needed to have something to eat at 7:45 one day because we were leaving on a tour and we requested a day in advance to get some early breakfast. Absolutely no way - they said they open at 8, no exception. At 7:45 we still went down to try and catch something and the second we touched the plates a woman started yelling from the kitchen in Turkish that breakfast opens at 8! Really frustrating. Good wifi in room and lobby. Overall, the experience was average. Next time i will probably look for a different hotel in the area at similar price.

Hotel with ideal location
We stayed in this hotel for 10 days in August/September (we stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments). The hotel is ideally placed within few minutes walk from Sultanahmet. Therefore, ideal if you want to visit some of the most important tourist attractions in Istanbul, such as the Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Aya Sofia, and the Grand Bazaar (all within walking distance). The sea is also within walking distance, where you can get into a memorable cruise experience of the Bosphorus. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, especially Umar,who was always welcoming and willing to assist and respond to our requests. The rooms were clean. We had a room maid coming to do our rooms on a daily basis. The only problem was damp in one of the rooms, which the hotel needs to treat. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay for the duration, and would use the hotel again.

Nice hotel close to Sultanahmet square.
The hotel is located to a walking distance from Sultanahmet square with easy access to T1. The staff always ready to help with information and very kind. The standard room is very small and windows are not sealed very good so the street noise is a bit annoying. On our last day it rained and our room was flooded even we had the window closed. After this was cleaned by the staff second time started also to "rain" from the superior level so not only the floor was wet , the bed too. After we lost a lot of time with this we got moved to a triple room and when we asked what will be the check-out in this condition the response was 11:00 (normal check-out hour) so we got our luggage's to another room just to check-out 20 minutes later. Also in the room where some ants.

Both men at reception were extremely helpful and polite specially the guy(who's name I forgot to ask)who checked us in, helped us with our bags to our room and let us check out later and even gave us a istanbulkart for the teams (I declined as I had one) Had a issue with flight cancellations due to the weather he kept the room for us, he also highlighted all the main attractions and how to get there. The room overall was great we had a partial view of the blue mosque, however a bit tight for 2 people. I don't eat breakfast so that didn't matter to me. Aya Sophia and blue mosque were literally walking distance as well as the tram which is the best transportation. Water was always hot for a shower and room was kept at a great temperature. Our room was tided everyday which was great. I will most definitely be staying here again if I come back to Istanbul!

Great location good service. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also decent. The triple room was spacious but the double room a bit tight. Suggest that for Muslim who has to pray to be given slighly bigger room or make a bit more space. Otherwise the whole experience was great

Convenient location, very close to the Blue Mosque. Staff were helpful and our double bed was huge and comfortable. Air-con made for a pleasant stay. We were on the fourth floor - no lift, but a bit of exercise I guess! On the first morning we were woken up by some noisy guests in the stairwell, but otherwise it was fine - didn't really hear much from the streets.

We just got back from Istanbul and wanted to comment on the Q Hotel where we stayed for four nights. We stayed in a triple room which was certainly big enough for three adults (me and my two grown sons). The room was clean, well decorated, had excellent air conditioning and plenty of wi fi bandwith for us all to use our laptops at the same time.The staff was amazing. The personal attention and service were first-rate. We enjoyed having a beer each night at the tables in front of the hotel (often chatting with the staff and Ahmet -- the guy who worked at the lovely gift shop next door, the Flamingo Hali, where we bought all of our souvenirs). The location was perfect, especially for a first trip to Istanbul.

The Abella hotel is a very very basic hotel, unclean, without any of the amenities shown on the web presentation : no wireless internet, no laundry service, no spa/wellness, the breakfast is absolutely a joke - cold buffet, not serving even juice. Rooms are not sound insulated, so you can hear all the noises from the rooms around, on the fourth floor you can not sleep past 7 a.m. as all the noise from the breakfast terrace is loudly heard. The hotel is DEFINITELY not 3-4 star as described, it is more like a hostel kind of comfort - very very basic and run-down. The only positive thing is its location.

Excellent for a budget traveler like me who still wants to feel like they are in a secure, clean space.

Un hotel de diez, el trato perfecto, cercano, estaban dispuestos en cualquier hora, Mustafa nos explicó todos los sitios importantes que debemos visitar. La limpieza excelente, te hacen la habitación cada día, te dejan agua y té cada día en la habitación. La ubicación a unos 2 min de la mezquita Sultan Ahmed. Tienen merienda de 15 h a 20 h. (incluida en el precio). Muchas gracias a todo el equipo, sin duda alguna volveremos a este hotel. El hotel superó nuestras expectativas.

Nous avions la chambre sur le toit avec terrasse privative de 30m2. Vue sur la mer de Marmara et l'arrière de la mosquée Bleue... La chambre venait d'être refiate à neuf. Un problème d'eau chaude un soir et de serrure, réparée dans la journée. Le personnel est très réactif. Petit bémol : les store blancs ne masquent absolument pas la lumière et nous avons été réveillées dès 6h. Il faut aussi compter avec le cri des mouettes !!! Le petit déjeuner était pléthorique et varié... exceptionnel !!!(l'établissement aura tenu compte des remarques négatives d'avant !) et le personnel est très pro. NB : Le patron essaie de vendre des excursions dès votre arrivée, mais si vous déclinez il ne vous embête plus !

Accueil sympathique à l'arrivée, puis inexistant, chambre sale, douche pas propre non plus (un petit ver se baladant au fond du bac). Pour le petit déjeuner, nous qui nous levions tard ne comprenions pas pourquoi il n'y avait plus de pain... nous avons donc insisté un jour, et finalement c'est parce qu'ils devaient sortir en racheter... et visiblement ce n'était pas l'idée principale. Bref, oui c'est proche de la Mosquée bleue, mais je ne vous le recomanderai pas.

PLUSS: Hotellet ligger like nedenfor den Blå moskeen; med gå-avstand til de viktigste attraksjonene i gamlebyen (Old City, Sultanahmet området). Resepsjonistene (1 per skift) var alltid veldig blide og behjelpelige, og tok godt vare på oss. Vi fikk gode og ærlige råd og anbefalinger, om eksempelvis restauranter i nærområdet eller beste fremkommelighet (til gitte attraksjoner). Sengene var ikke ukomfortable, og rommet var ikke så trangt som jeg fryktet. MINUS: Selvsagt positivt at frokosten var inkludert (i pakken som jeg valgte), men det var lite variasjon fra dag til dag. Har gitt dårlig score på Renhold, fordi sluken i dusjen var ganske tett. Ellers var hygienen relativt god. KONKLUSJON: Mye bedre enn det man kan forvente fra et 3-stjerners hotell, og man får mye for pengene, synes jeg.
