Bosphorus? What Bosphorus?

The picture they often use to give the impression that the Richmond overlooks the Bosphorus is from a restaurant which was closed and deserted when we were there. We were disappointed to find that our "superior" room in fact faced the back of a derelict building; when we queried this we were told that only 4 rooms had Bosphorus views and we have subsequently realised that "superior" is the lowest room classification. Well, I suppose English isn't there first language...
You CAN see the Bosphorus from the breakfast room but the view is mostly obscured by the building extension which houses the locked up restaurant with the view. And the breakfast itself? Well, in a city where you can get lovely fresh orange juice on every corner for a few pence, the Richmond offers only unpleasant tasting squash; instead of fresh fruit you get tinned stuff; and instead of cold meat you get cheap sausage. Marmalade was nice though and so was the bread.
Reception staff were grumpy, reluctant to help with a problem printing my boarding pass, and were more interested in their phones than serving us drinks in the afternoon.
However, the people who looked after our room were all lovely, and should be an example to their miserable bosses.

We believe that there was a misunderstanding with our room types and the photographs too. Our Superior rooms are land and street view rooms and there is a special supplement for Bosporus View rooms. After your comments, in order to avoid any future misguidance we have checked our information on all online channels with photographs and we have not detected any misinformation or guidance about our rooms. I want to thank you for your comment about the comments of our roommate. On the other hand, we will be addressing your concern to take corrective actions related with the variety of breakfast and the concierge services. As a result I generally understand by your review that we have not been able to sufficiently satisfy your enquiries. And i would like to share my excuses hereby with this management response.
I hope your travels will permit another visit with us in Istanbul very soon, and I can assure you that we will do our utmost best to make your stay a most comfortable one
