I flew in from California to join my wife in Istanbul on her birthday. The reception was barely helpful. As soon as we arrived we requested a vase for a bouquet I bought at the Istanbul airport for my wife birthday. Upon requesting for it several times, it was brought 24 hours later. We checked in to a sea view room having 26degree centigrade on 3rd floor. The rooms Air conditioning was centralized so we had no control over the temperature, after a lot complaints, it went down to 23.5 degrees in 3 hours. It was still pretty warm so they moved us to 9th floor. The shower heads water flow was terrible, we had to call the plumber to fix it. The shower taps were very unecessarily complicated to maneuver. The plumbers came with hammers at 10 pm to 'fix it' but couldn't so they said they'd come the next day. The next day we requested deep cleaning of our rooms before we left, we were told to let them know when we were leaving, which we did. But when we came back after 6 hours, the room was untouched. We went down to complain to the manager and she came up apologizing to the room to check and got it cleaned Infront of her. Not only that but our room card failed atleast twice everyday. Our room was on the 9th floor, so we would have to go down And up again and again to get it fixed.
The pros were the bare minimum, nice bed, clean sheets, pleasent pool. The only outstanding thing worth our money was the breakfast. It had a wide variety and endless supply of everything.
