Lovely hotel, vintage decor, warm and welcoming, lovely staff and excellent customer service. It was our first visit to Istanbul where we stayed in a lovely hotel in the city in a room at a reasonable price.

It was a classic old but well-maintained hotel with a lot of old artifacts. In heart of main tourist attractions.
Not only is the hotel amazing situated (2 mins walk to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, and Basilica Cistern), it is right there with Team Line 1 (T1) which connects you to directly to the Grand Bazaar and Dolmabahce Palace, and close to Galata Tower the Taksim Square area. More importantly, the hotel is clean, with a rooftop view second to none. Also, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. When my flight to Cappadocia was cancelled, they provided assistance and advice. Moreover, they kept checking in on me to make sure I was able to get everything in order. I recommend this hotel to anyone who really wants to have a great experience in Istanbul. Thank you so much to the staff!
The Suttanhan is perfectly located for walking distance to 75% of all of the Old City attractions that you would want to see while in Istanbul. The hotel is quiet and well-adorned. The staff could not be more agreeable and helpful. They take pride in their jobs and want you to feel comfortable and prepared to enjoy Istanbul every day you are there. The rooms are also well-adorned and have beautiful parquet floors. THIS IS NOT A FRANCHISE HOTEL -- you are in a privately owned hotel that will give you much more of the experience of Turkey than would one of the bigger hotel chains. -- A really great place to stay in Istanbul!
