Big Time, NOISE PROBLEM
Zero sound isolation, if you are on the roadside or staying in one of the below rooms, you are not going to sleep at all. Also, because of the economic crises in Turkey, I believe they rented their rooms to people for a month or more We had 6 people staying above us... NIGHTMARE !!!

Beautiful location
Right by the Bosphorus Bridge yet in a secluded location. Lovely garden setting. One side of the hotel restaurant has a view of the Bosphorus and both sides of Istanbul.

Very pretty hotel with beautiful view
Only stayed one night but room was charming and immaculate (always appreciate a room with tea making facilities too as I was up too early for breakfast). Staff were very attentive in ordering me taxis for my business appointments. The resident car showed me to my room!

Really not a place to stay.Out of the way,not nice
Room was small, in an annex, bathroom ridiculously small, perhaps 5 sq.m. No amenities. Breakfast disappointing, and on top of that the hotel is far out of the way. I won't stay here again.
Shower stall. Tiny.
"Vanity" - no amenities.
Actually the "working" phone.
Aircon that worked, but too cold and could not adjust. And that's the work desk...

last minute deal at a very reasonable price. location is 10 min walk from waterfront where you can find a nice bazaar and multiple restaurants and bars. Only downside is the walk back entails what is an almost mountainous hike - so either take a cab or make sure you are pretty fit! Very friendly staff and lovely out door eating area for meals.

Surprisingly great value for your stay
I stayed in this hotel for a few days and I was delighted by everything I saw. First of all, the hotel is strategically located - within a few mins to Ortakoy district and also close to Etiler and Ulus. The house itself is beautifully decorated with rooms that have a very nice and unique character. It also has plenty of outdoor space with a nicely designed garden and lots of tables/chairs and sofas. Rooms are clean and well maintained. And last but not least, hotel staff is extremely helpful. I was personally greeted by the owner and the staff kept offering tea/coffee - compliments of the hotel. Overall, the hotel offers a value way above what its price suggests. I will definitely go back to stay in this hotel next time I'm in Istanbul and highly recommend it to everyone.

Not a 4-star hotel, instead it is a guest house
I officially raised my concerns to EXPEDIA to refund me on the total amount of this said hotel. my case has already been escalated to refund me due to hotel deceiving customers and agencies.

good value and close to Bosphorus
The room was beautiful and spacious. The garden was large - where breakfast was held. Staff was friendly. Only issue was the noise from the highway that is not far from the hotel. Wish I had a room on an upper floor and then I could see the Bosphorus.

Noisy and inaccessible
It is inaccesible by foot unless you are willing to brave a steep descent along a narrow road that is traveled by cars racing to the highway. The sidewalk that exists is extremely narrow or non-existent and passes an area of brush that is the home of wild dogs who wander the road. The room that I stayed in with"views" had a view of the Bosphorous and the bridge over it. The bridgeis so close that sleeping is difficult as there is constant heavy traffic on the large roadway.

I have stayed in many average hotels in Istanbul near touristy areas, but I chose the location because it was close to a meeting and it turned out to be the best yet! If you want to stay in Ortakoy, I highly recommend the Symbola: definitely a boutique atmosphere, beautiful comfortable clean rooms, attentive charming staff, a few minutes walk from the Ortakoy strip, free internet, breakfast made to order in their tiny restaurant...just great!! I was there in November but in the summer, I imagine their plentiful outdoor terrace/garden seating is quite lovely. One note: there are some stairs in the hotel and hills to walk to Ortakoy, so this isn't the best option if that's a problem.

Un air de campagne en pleine ville
Hôtel proche de nos zones d'intérêts, bosphore ,Bebek,etc. Personnel acceillant ,souriant et toujours prêt à apporter son aide en particulier Hasret özkan Je conseille malgré la proximité du pont qui est largement compensée par une vue magnifique sur le bosphore , un air de campagne avec des poules en liberté...

Otel çok kirli. The otel is very dirty
Otelin konumu güzel yerde fakat otel çok pisti. Kaldıgım odanın banyosu korkunc pis lavobanın giderleri kıllarla dolu tokabmıs duş almak ımkansızdı. Yatak çarsafları değiştirilmemiş lekeli ve pisti. Yerler zaten toz içindeydi. Tek iyi yanı resepsiyonda ki calısan arkadas yardımcı olmaya calıstım ama ımkansızlık dahilin de o da yardımcı olamadı. Yastık kılıfları berbattı. 5.8 puan verilmiş ama ınanın değeri 3.-3,2 aralıgında. Şiddetle tavsiye etmiyorum istanbul gibi bi metropolde ve istambul un göbeğin de rezalet bir işletme.. The location of the hotel is very nice. The hotel is very very dirty.

Aussicht ok, Rest flop.
Leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht. Nach mehrmalige Aufforderung wurde schlussendlich ein Lüfter zur Verfügung gestellt was in einem Raumtemperatur von 31 Grad natürlich niemals gereicht hätte. Wir haben das Hotel verlassen und den ganzen Betrag rückerstattet bekommen. Es war eine Rauchfreie Zimmer ausgewählt, die Sitze hatten mehrrere Brandlöcher. Absolut nicht empflehlenswert!

Zentrales Hotel mit dem bestem Service überhaupt
Das Hotel liegt zentral, man ist mit dem Taxi in ein paar Minuten in der Stadtmitte von Ortaköy, zu Fuß soll es auch in höchstens 5 Minuten gehen, haben wir nicht getestet. Der Service ist hervorragend, alle Wünsche werden umgehend erfüllt und als wir um ein Taxi gebeten haben, wurden wir sogar zweimal kurz vom Personal gefahren, dafür wurden sie von uns natürlich mit einem entsprechenden Trinkgeld belohnt. Alle sind super freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit. Sogar die Reinigungskraft ist sehr höflich und hilfsbereit und hat super Arbeit geleistet. Wir waren zu dritt in einem Zimmer im 1. OG. Das Zimmer ist zwar sehr schön eingerichtet, hatte aber einige Mängel: Wasserhahn am Waschbecken locker, Toilletten-Deckel locker, Duschtüre locker, nach dem Duschen läuft Wasser im Zimmer nebenan aus. Trotz dieser kleinen Fehler (einige konnten behoben werden, andere in der kurzen Zeit nicht), sind wir SEHR zufrieden mit diesem Hotel und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Vielen Dank an das Hotel und das gesamte Team für die schnelle kurze Zeit!!!

Rezervasyon sitesinde oda detaylarına söylenenlerle otele gittiğinizde gördükleriniz farklı. Delüks oda için tanıtımda jakuzi ve özel banyo bulunduğu yazıyor. Oteldeki görevli bu tip odalarda bunların olmadığını bunun tamamen hotels.com'un hatası olduğunu söylüyor.

建物自体は趣きのある古いホテルです。部屋によっては、ボスポラスも見れます。泊まった日は大雪で、ホテルのレストランで食事をしていたのは私達家族だけでしたが、予約時間までに暖炉で温めておいてくれて、とても快適でした。 チェーン系のホテルとは、一味違った滞在になりました。

war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt
zu fuß zum Ortaköy, war in zwei bis drei Minuten vom Hinterausgang gut zu erreichen, das Hotel hat einen wunderschönen Garten, im Frühling sicher ein Traumplatz zum Wohlfühlen, doch leider bisschen laut von der Brücke und das Service könnte besser sein, die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Hyggeligt hotel med god service.
Hyggeligt hotel med mange trapper i stille og fredeligt område. Dog nogen larm fra trafikken på Bosphorus broen. Vil man have byliv, ligger hotellet langt ude. Ikke det store udvalg i restauranten, men maden var velsmagende. Personalet var meget service minded, men havde svært ved at forstå engelsk.

Ich war acht Tage lang in dem Hotel und es gab keinerlei Probleme, alle waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei den Kommentaren hatte ich gelesen, dass es keinen direkten Weg zum Bosporus gibt und das es laut durch die Brücke ist, stimmt! Wenn man den Hinterausgang nimmt, kommt man durch eine traumhafte Straße zum Ortaköy. Manchmal habe ich den Bus genommen, der direkt vor dem Hotel zu finden ist. Es war ein netter Aufenthalt und ich werde immer nur noch dort buchen.

Loved it!
The two days I've spent at the hotel were magic. Everyone was so nice, they helped me practice my Turkish and I never lacked anything. The room and the garden were beautiful. The hotel is a little bit far from the city center, so I used a taxi to get there with my luggage. But after that, without bags, it was an easy walk to get to Ortaköy and Besiktas. I will certainly go back there during my next trip to Istanbul!

Loved this hotel
I spent two days this autumn in Symbalo. I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean and looked gorgeous in a very 'Osmanli' style. I felt like a princess there. Loved the garden and friendly cats. There was a small playground for visitors with friends. Loved the bed, was very soft and clean. I recommend everyone to stay there.
