It was simply the most terrible hotel I ever stayed at. Even though my reservation was for 7 nights, I was only able to last for 1 night and then I had to go to some other place. The room didn't even have enough space for me to unpack my bag. The bedsheets and towels were not clean, and the door was broken, the air conditioning didn't work, the bathroom smelled, and ... . I can't say enough about how awful the experience was. The only good thing about it was the beautiful view of the room and friendly staff.

Like the location and friendliness of the staff, Galata neighborhood is charming with great shops and cafés. Rooms are clean and in good shape considering how old the building is. Also liked the restaurant with good choice of Turkish wine and spectacular views of the city. Disliked the cleanliness of the breakfast restaurant, that also operates as a jazz nightclub Disliked the loud music and stomping coming from rooftop restaurant on a Friday late night. I suggest breakfast to be served on 9th floor for the views.

This property is very close to Galata Tower. So if you don't mine the crowds and the noise this Hotel is a very good choice.

it is located in the historic district but very difficult location, impossible to stop with a car, impossible to park, no bellboy, no vallet .. very small bathroom.. and very noisy due to the restaurant/bar ..

Great location crappy hotel
Room was very small and bathroom was not so clean. The air conditioner sucked and the noise from the street was very loud. The elevator was broken and stopped on every floor. The entrance is strange and you have to carry your luggage up a set of stairs.

Convenient for the sites
Easy access to the Galata Tower and Istiklal Cadesi which is full of eateries and bars. Tram stop to other main attractions only 5min walk from hotel. 4 out if 5 nights stayed were quiet, final night (a Wednesday) there was a party in the restaurant upstairs and the music kept us awake until 2am. The rooms are small with no where to store luggage but for a city break where you just want somewhere to sleep after a busy day sightseeing that's not a problem.

Nice hotel with good tram connections
Nice hotel very close to tram station and a short 5 min walk across the bridge to restaurants and mosques. A few short stops on the tram to arrive in main Istanbul area around Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Room was very small but we made do. Mini Fridge was not working and asked staff several times to have a look at however they kept forgetting. Although in the end they offered to bring us cold water to our room instead.

Great stay in Istanbul
Umit front desk was fantastic. Very nice man. Check in is not 24hrs as stated. Its 2pm. Great central area in Karaköy...walk to the mosques, Taksim, Galata or Bizaar....love Istanbul and this hotel had exactly what i wanted for 2 nights. Clean room, great bed, air con....mini bar...the works!!

Great view of the water while relatively quiet
I started at Purl hotel for 4 nights and overall is was a good experience. Walking distance to things in Kadiköy and nice to just wander back as I pleased. Room was clean and large (duplex) and bed was pretty comfortable. The sofa was comfortable to lounge in as well. Now the problems including smoke coming in the room from adjacent rooms and the hall way was not nice. The staff did clean and spray the hallway but it still had that smell of cigarette lingering. My room for the most part was smoke scent free. Also the carpeting in the third floor Hall is disgusting and should be just pulled out because of for traffic. The other issue is the wifi, almost non existent. It connects but my free Sprint service was faster at times. Staff were very inventive, scheduled a taxi for me and always had a smile on their faces. Also first night the safe was locked and the TV didn't work and the staff member jumped out of his seat after asking if he could come see it now and everything was resolved in under 5 minutes. Overall, thanks for the great stay and will keep you in mind for my next stay in Istanbul. Cheers

Very good location!
Very good location, two minutes walking to Karakoy Sahil. It's amazing to have a cup of coffee there in the morning with fantastic view. The room is okay but would it be perfect if there was a balcony, but unfortunately all the rooms do not have balcony!

Das dreckigste Hotel in Istanbul. Müll von den vor Besuchern lag noch im Zimmer rum. Schimmel, rost an den Armaturen, überall schmutz. Sofort wieder ausgecheckt. Einzig positive war das man mir den Betrag sofort ausgezahlt hat.

Ayşe Hanım Merhaba; öncelikle otelimiz seçtiğiniz ,konakladığınız ve otel ile ilgili deneyimlerinizi paylaştığınız için teşekkür ederiz. öncelikle otopark ile ilgili olarak konaklama yapmış olduğunuz karaköy bölgesi beyoğlu hatta taksim dahil yaklaşık 1000 adet konaklama tesisisin bulunduğu bir bölgede hiç bir tesisin özel ÜCRETSİZ otoparkı bulunmamaktadır. lütfen yanlış bilgi vererek algı yaratmayın 150 metre yanımızda İşpark a ait otopark var ve 24 saati 20 tl dediğiniz gibi 40 tl değildir.Sizin araç 2 gün kalmıştır muhtemelen. Yatağın üzerinde havalandırmadan o ses gelmemektedir. Banyoda bulunan havalandırmadan yüksek olmamakla beraber az bir ses gelmektedir. havalandırma banyonun elektrik düğmesine bağlıdır ışık sönünce motorda durur. Yorganlar her gün değiştirilmez .çarşaf değişimi ekolojik denge sebebiyle turizm bakanlığının uygulanmasını istediği 2 günde bir değişimi yapılmaktadır. talepte bulunsaydınız çarşaf nevresim değişikliği kat hizmetleri tarafından anında yerine getirilirdi. Bir defa bu bölgede balkonlu otel yok varsa bile fransız stili balkon bulunmaktadır. In den ersten zwei Nächten (ein Donnerstag und Freitag) konnte man ab 22 Uhr SEHR laute Musik mit starkem Bass hören, wodurch das einschlafen schwer fiel. Diese kam aber nicht von der Jazzbar unter dem Hotel sondern von wo anders. Die Musik hat bis 1 oder 2 Uhr angedauert.

En vecka i Karaköy
Trevligt hotell i extremt centralt läge vid Gyllene hornet. Nära Galatabron, spårvagn, bussar, båtar, t-bana. Nära basarområdet och kryddmarknaden etc...Rummen små men med ok ac och wi-fi. Rent och snyggt. Receptionen i minsta laget om man är ett gäng som stämt träff för att ge sig ut på stan men å andra sidan bemannad med trevlig personal som kan sitt Istanbul. Minus: frukosten kunde ha varit lite generösare och mer varierad.

Não tem nada de “hotel boutique” este Purl. As únicas coisas boas são o chuveiro do quarto 602, a cama e a localização do hotel. O resto não condiz com a descrição e nem com o valor cobrado. O café da manhã é pobre, não tem nem um suco, nenhuma torradeira, nenhum iogurte ... não tem as coisas básicas ... e o café estava com gosto de queimado. Temperatura do quarto: eu estava com calor, botões não funcionaram - liguei pra recepção e o atendente disse que o hotel está neste período de “inverno” (primavera com 20 graus lá fora) apenas com aquecimento - então ou ele aquece todos os quartos do hotel ou desliga. Se eu estava com calor, a única opção seria desligar, não teria ar condicionado para refrescar l. Teria que abrir a janela e ficar com o ultra alto barulho da rua, carros, buzinas, música ao vivo do primeiro andar do hotel, além de cheiro de gordura pelos ares. Os atendentes, tanto da recepção, quanto do restaurante do térreo e da cobertura, de um hotel super bem localizado pra turistas, praticamente não falam inglês, ou seja, pra um hotel, fica bem difícil a comunicação. Quarto 602: telefone não funciona, tem apenas 3 cabides pra roupas de 2 pessoas, quase nenhum canal na TV, bem apertado (metragem super pequena) com uma cama enorme que não condiz, frigobar dentro do armário esquentando as roupas e objetos dos hóspedes. Elevador mínimo, então prepare-se pra aguardar ou use as escadas. No título mencionei que parece um hostel, não q hostel seja ruim, preço conta.

Dear Maria, thank you detailed comment. First of all since you preferred to be incognito while you publish your comment we do not have any information about you and your reservation details. We have checked our system under your name and it seems that we did not host any guest under same name from expedia. We have our own internal track of guests comments to improve our service but in this case we can not confirm what kinds of actions we took about listed issues. To sum up for other guests; a) The central air conditioning system turns summer mode and winter mode twice a year. It is takes some to adjust but in the meantime we have ability to fine tune room by room if a guest inform us. b) Of course we have juices , our hotel has three bars with full of service- but they are additional charge as it is same all around the world. c) We agree with you that we are not a boutique hotel but more than a boutique hotel with a magnificient view, live jazz concerts, easy access to all touristical attractions and branded room amenities. Also es ist zentral ist in karaköy zu Taksim zu Fuß 10 min zu Sultanahmet mit dem tranvay 15 min aber Hotel Ansicht mit Sauberkeit oder möbeliesrung enttäuschten wir hatten 5 Tage lang Geruch von Kanalisation ich hab es reklamiert aber es wurde nichts gemacht wir müssten ständig lüften und die Türe zum Bad geschlossen halten und das war sehr schlecht

Das Hotel ist echt in einer guten Lage und bei den Preisen darf man sich eigentlich nicht beschweren, aber der Lärmpegel am Samstag in der Nacht war kaum auszuhalten. Wir bekamen auch angeblich ein Upgrate aber doch war das Badezimmer einfach viel zu klein. Das Personal hingegen war sehr sehr freundlich und wie gesagt die Lage war super.
