Hotel Lone is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful garden by the sea - about 20 minutes flat walk from the centre of Rovinj. It’s not cheap but this hotel makes you feel special. The rooms are really well appointed and the balconies are private. The staff are friendly and attentive. Maistra - the company that owns Hotel Lone - also owns the Monte Mulini hotel next door and the Grand Park nearer to Rovinj. All great hotels if you can afford them

This is place is absolutely stunning. Art/Architecture museum of a hotel with an amazing breakfast from 7A-12PM, english speaking staff, and a simple safe walk to the beach or town. You felt the beauty of a forested reserve while staying in a posh hotel. It was even better then I imagined.

Amazing stay at the Lone, it’s a nice 10 min walk into Rovinj. We didn’t use the pool but used the beach part where you can stay on comfy lounge beds. Breakfast has a huge variety. The hotel is a little bit stale and lacking in atmosphere, it feels a bit museum esq however we would return again. We dined at Agli Amici at the partnering grand Park hotel and that was another level!!

The rooms were beautiful and modern including the bathrooms. Including offsite free self parking Great pool area and access to the water and the boardwalk to old town. It’s a 20 min walk to old town. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is right at the side of the beach and a beautiful nature reserve. Plus a 20 minute walk along a lovely promenade into the old town. Staff are brilliant and there’s a feeling of luxury and relaxation.

The staff are incredibly hospitable and the property landscape was incredible! The breakfast was delicious and the variety was top notch. We love the outdoor restaurant by the pool! Our one and only (truly only) complaint with the property was their pillows — my entire family left with quite a bit of neck and back pain. The pillows are low quality and it's shocking given the general amenities and other elements of the hotel that were so well executed.

Excellent but a few issues.
We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights and overall we rated the hotel 4 out of 5. Firstly the staff were exceptional and the hotel and rooms were very clean. Our main gripe is that the hotel is not totally child friendly. The pool area is extensive but is surrounded by steps which have no ramps for buggies or wheelchairs. So in our case we had continually lift our grandson’s buggy up and down the stairs. Moreover, the pool restaurant has no baby changing facilities so we were forced to change nappies on the toilet floor. Otherwise, it’s a great hotel and would happily return.

A fantastic hotel and staff were charming and helpful. Very close to the beach and a lovely walk into Rovinj along the promenade. What was especially noticeable was how clean the whole area was ...no litter left anywhere...

Very stylish, large modern rooms and really comfortable beds. Spa was great, breakfast good albeit sometimes chaotic and options to eat within or close by. Rovinj town a 10 min easy walk. Shame pool was shared with sister hotel so was kid soup and noisy. Zone c on the front had v nice beds and sea access.

Great stay. The only small downside was when asking for a late check out, that the receptionist didn't even heard us, just said a straight NO. Apart from that it was as usual great.

Hotel - Lovely enviornment near Rovinj old town Room - spacious, clean, but no kettle for coffee or tea. Park view was so relaxing. Breakfast - Good selection and tasteful. One morning I waited for 10 minutes in line since only one person did sunny upside down, scrambled eggs and omelette. Staff - Front desk girls were amazing! Some others obviously seemed to be annyoned when I would visit the front desk. We were not even allowed to have 1 hour extra for the check-out. Wellness - Vey nice place where I spent most of my time.

This was our third stay at Lone Hotel and we must say it was disappointing. We could not help but feel that the hotel downgraded from luxurious experience to an average one. Starting from our premium room (with a view of a parking) which lacked amenities such as coffeemaker and well stocked minibar that offered something other that mere basics. Pool and beach lounge chairs were almost impossible to find even at 10am in the morning. This must be due to the fact that hotel beach and facilities are shared with a nearby hotel. There is a bar at the pool with long lines and no waiter service (something that was offered on our previous stay). Getting service during breakfast (mainly someone to order coffee from) took a very long time. Long wait times for lunch at the restaurant on the pool as well. Overall we don't consider staying at Lone in a near future.

Spent three days with my family. Rooms were modern, spacious, immaculately clean. Breakfast buffet had good choice but service was a bit slow, probably because of too many guests for the seating available. Same for pool and beach, great facilities and location but getting lounge chairs was tough. That said, dinner (and food) at Mediterraneo Restaurant at hotel next door was top notch. We loved Istria as a location, lots of pretty small towns and sites to see.

Beautiful and modern design hotel with extra spacious rooms, great breakfast at restaurant, big lobby and all present staff. Nice wellness, even though for a 5 star hotel, a little too small (3 saunas, and hydromassage pool). Also, common area outside sauna space was not heated enough, that is my humble opinion. Definitly great hotel, only one minus for wellnes area.
