Excellent hotel on waterfront

Pros: As above
Cons: Plunge pool
Location: Waterfront location close to the old town, restaurants etc. Very close to the Basilica which is outstanding. No fast bus service to local towns.
Excellent breakfasts. Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. Very comfortable reception and bar area. Rooms good. Access to the sea but a plunge pool would be very welcome. No availability of swimming pool in sister hotel.

Pros: Location, staff, breakfast
Cons: The hallways and stairwells were average. They were not quite as stylish or chic as the rest of the hotel.
The Valamar Riviera Hotel offers a superb location right on the waterfront and next to many restaurants and bars. We were greeted by the friendly staff who facilitated a very smooth and pleasant check-in. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable and met (or even exceeded) our expectations. The breakfast buffet was delightful and included fresh breads, cold cuts, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages, juice, yogurt, etc. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

Handy for the ferry from Venice. Hotel was a great inexpensive surprise after Italy. Our room was large, actually a small suite, with a separate bedroom, very clean and up to date. Great staff, good restaurant We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Pros: Best location in Porec.
Cons: Our room too small for two people. We stayed 4 days. Very good breakfast and dinner.
Close to port and old town. Totally walkable. Disappointed in size of room. TV on wall which had to be passed to move around room. It was too narrow. Worried about knocking it off wall.

Pros: Classy and well run, very clean and would stay again.
Cons: Later in the year it wasn't so hot and we thought we could just leave the windows open, the AC units outside from the other suites too load to do this
Location: Walking around the shops or a free boat ride across to the little island for guests of the hotel....ferries to Venice leave from the harbour.
Two nights late stay late September.....excellent place. Excellent town to walk around and explore, the ferry to Venice leaves from right across the street.

Pros: View, food and wine
Cons: The short stay
Location: Couldn't be better
On arrival we upgraded to a sea view room. The view was wonderful and the service and quality of food in the a la carte dining area magnificent. Friendly Oliver on reception was always helpful and willing to please.

The best location, amenities, price, and people!

Pros: Location
Cons: Night Staff, usually found sleeping.
Location: Exemplifies "Center"
My friends and I went to wakeboard at Ski Lift Porec (don't judge us, we travel frequently) and were disappointed the property near the lift was booked. As our alternative the Riviera was exceptional in every way, especially the staff. One hidden surprise was access to a private islands beaches. Locvated in the heart of clubs, shopping, and restauraunts; the rooms on the city side are larger and quieter than those facing the water. Breakfast is well done except for flavorless pancakes and horrible luke warm coffee. There is a patio in front that manages an intimate and serene atmosphere despite the insanity of the clubs and shopping only meters away. I hope this helps and will definately go back. If you have time make the 4 hour trip to Lake Plitvice. It made Kauai look silly.
