An amazing place to get away to in the middle of Chicago. Pool, whirlpool, sauna, hot room, golf course, excellent rooms, amazing food ands friendly staff.....what more could you want?

Lovely resort

Pros: Everything was easily accessed. Extensive breakfast buffet.
Cons: The shower shows evidence of water damage on the ceiling.
Location: Convenient to expressways. Morton Arboretum is a short drive down Route 53.
The room was spacious with plenty of storage. The hotel grounds are lovely and check-in was convenient and speedy. Great proximity to expressways, Morton Arboretum, and suburban shopping.

Relaxing, prairie-style vibe

Beautiful hotel. Love this prairie / Frank Lloyd Wright styling. Very nice staff and beautiful grounds. Room was on the 7th floor of the north tower, pie-shaped room with wrap-around porch that overlooked the golf course. Very nice. It was a Wednesday night and the lobby bar was not open, which is weird. However, the downstairs bar and restaurant was open. Nice bartender, good drinks and ordered food to go back to the room. Had a nice bonfire outside too if you wanted to sit around that. Very nice coffee shop with to-go foods, beer, wine, toiletries, etc. My only complaints are 1) limited room service 2) ice machines only on every-other floor 3) rooms are kind of hard to find - layout is confusing and could have been better explained. Seemed like a long walk to the room and would've appreciated assistance with my luggage. 4) While décor in room was up to date and modernized, the shower was outdated. You can tell they replaced everything but the tiles and the faucet in the tub - sorta had a cheap motel feel. Otherwise, bathroom was very modern and nice.

I booked a room with a king size bed since I was by myself! They put me in a room that was so far from the front desk I had to walk almost 10 min to get there! Small dark with no balconies! When I called to get a room closer to the entrance they offered me a room with two queen size beds with balconies since they were out of room with king size bed. But still wasn't what I expected! I didn't like it at all.

Itasca nice and quired resort and great golfing.

A great stay Outside Chicago

Pros: Accomodation, food , facilities.
Location: Golf, Shopping
We were looking for a spot to spend a couple of days before visiting downtown Chicago. The Eaglewood was great. Nice Golf course with reasonable green fees. Food was great, Staff were plasant.Close proximity to shopping Cenres . Overall a great spot.

Was very pleasant. Staff everywhere in the hotel were nice. Only downside, no mini fridge in the rooms.
