Check-in couldn't have been more efficient and pleasant with Adam. He was as kind, patient and professional in person as he was on the phone when I called with questions before our stay. The King suite we booked was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. And yes - with an unobstructed, beautiful view of Lake Seneca! They didn't have housekeeping service during our stay, but we had plenty of towels and no needs. The bathroom was large, and its shower had good hot water and water pressure (important to me) - but a shelf or vanity in the empty space there would have helped with holding our things. The adjoining room in our suite had a counter top dining area, small fridge, microwave and much appreciated kitchen sink - which added a sense of ease and comfort to our stay. The hotel's location right off Rt 14 was super convenient and perfect for our explorations around the lake. We didn't have a chance to stop in at the bar, but it looked new and modern with a sweeping view of the lake. All in all, a quiet, wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.

Love the view,clean, good location freindly check in. Road conditions alittle bad and the half shower door wasnt nuts about , but definitely like our stay their and would go back.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Hotel Laurel! Beautiful location and rooms. Simple and cozy. Everything was clean and well maintained. The balcony view of Lake Seneca was picturesque. Front desk staff member, Heidi, was welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. She gave excellent recommendations of the area. Looking forward to our next trip to the Finger Lakes and staying here again!

Cute place. View was great.
Nice place great view. However if you want to grab something to eat. Do yourself a favor go on town. Restaurant food awful, awful for whole party. Terrible. Wait staff though was nice and friendly.

The rooms are recently renovated and clean. There is quite a smell - not sure if it’s from the new renovations (carpets or tiling) or from the older heating units.

This property was recently renovated from the original motel and they did a fantastic job. The room was comfortable, view was amazing, parking right in front of your room, town with all the shopping and restaurants are located 1 mile down the road, wine trail near by and the staff was so accommodating it couldn’t be more perfect. Definitely worth another visit

Looks very recently upgraded room. Only suggestion would be to have some add-ons in the shower area to hold soap. Or, this could be an opportunity to install dispensable soap and shampoo and get rid of single-use plastic containers.

Beautiful views from the balcony set this place apart! Retro motel & minimalist style was comfortable and affordable. On site restaurant was good for getting a drink and food after a long drive! Would recommend this place to anyone looking to be close to Watkins Glen State Park & town!

The newly renovated hotel is clean, cozy, and comfortable. The view of the lake is incredible! Nice bar/restaurant on site. Close to Watkins Glen for quick drive to town.

Nice place to stay while visiting Watkins Glen. Close to hiking trails, restaurants, grocery store, etc. Even has a restaurant in the hotel albeit limited menu. Rooms are clean and large with great views of the lake. Will definitely stay here when I return.

Have been to this hotel several times in the past. I love all the upgrades that have been made without sacrificing the ambiance of the old lodge , I will absolutely recommend the Laurel to anyone who wishes to visit Watkins Glen or do winery tours or just relax. Would really like to see the pool restored.

Too expensive for what it was.
Walls were very thin and you could hear everything going on in the next room. No vanity for ladies to do make up, etc. Door to outside was not secure. If someone wanted in, they could easily push their way in. Weird shower stall with no door that allowed water to go all over the floor. Restaurant was average. View from balcony was lovely. Comfortable bed.

This is a beautiful little hotel with a motel look. It’s right overlooking the lake with balcony view. The room was very clean, bed comfortable bathroom updated with beautiful finishes. We loved everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it. We plan to return!! The price was reasonable and it’s literally 3 minutes from downtown.

The rooms have obviously received a nice renovation at some point and are very bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable and there's balcony and a killer view of Seneca Lake. There is a table with a bench and chair for eating or working in the room. The door lock is old-school with an actual key...we couldn't lock our deadbolt from the outside, just the pushbutton lock on the knob, so it would be nice to see a more secure electronic lock. My only objection...there's no place in the bathroom to put anything, not even a ledge in the shower. There needs to be at least a small shelf for a toiletry kit, etc. A small inconvenience. We would definitely stay there again.

Bathroom no place for soap or shampoo in the shower area. Large room with no shelving or cabinet to hold your stuff. They have had many reviews without making a change. The shower also needs recaulking these are not big-cost items and would make a big difference. The view is wonderful and very close to town a handy locaction.
