Convenient location

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Close to shopping, bird watching and Cornell University. A little bit close to the main highway, leading to significant road noise through the night if your room has windows facing route 13. Request a room facing away and you'll be very pleased with the facility and staff.

Stayed 4 nights While helping Daughter move

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Ease of access off highway from Ithaca, and friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Bathroom. Shower fixture was leaky.
Location: A mall with a Target is 2 minutes away, which was handy for purchases for my daughter who was moving into an apt. for law school at Cornell.
When I first sought a room, the only vacancy was a smoking room, so I booked one night and then re-booked into a non-smoking room. The staff moved my bag for me and both rooms were nice, but entire property could use some updating-especially bathrooms.

Clean hotel, close to all

Posted Aug 7, 2015
Pros: Access to highways, was clean.
Cons: Breakfast area was very crowded, and each morning when we arrived there were no plates or silverware. Always had to ask for it.
Location: Many NYS Parks and Cornell University
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine, nothing special, but adequate. My kids enjoyed the pool, and I liked the close access to highways, the parks and Cornell.

Nice stay near Cornell.

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Hotel was quiet, reasonably clean and staff was friendly. Great breakfast each morning.
Cons:
Location: Lots of great parks and falls to visit. Hiking is moderate to strenuous, so be prepared.
Very pleasant stay at Homewood. The breakfast each morning was substantial. Rooms were spacious and we were able to eat some meals at "home". Maid service is basic, but room was reasonably clean and updated. Very quiet, even in the hallways. There was a pool although we didn't use it. Our son was in a hockey camp at Cornell University, so this location was an easy back road drive onto campus to watch his evening games. Very conveniently located off the highway for a speedy arrival. Mall close by, with a Tops, Target, DSW, Dicks Sporting Goods etc. Ithaca was a great hiking destination, and we visited numerous falls in our short stay.

Perfect oasis!

We stayed here during a college tour trip ... out of the 3 hotels we stayed at in the northern NY region, this hotel was by far the best. Everything was clean and smelled wonderful, and the complimentary food was great! Thank you!

One da/night stay in Ithaca

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Location: Short drive to area colleges and downtown Ithaca
The hotel is modern and beautiful. The room/suite was wonderful and spacious. The staff were all very pleasant. The only problem I had was the location. It is bordered by the back of a shopping mall, a car dealership and a highway. The hotel is five miles from downtown Ithaca.

Cornell hotel alternative

I was in for a business trip and used the room at the end of the day. Thanks to housekeeping for always making it a comfy room. Lite dinners on weekdays was a deal breaker since there weren't much places to dine nearby

Expensive but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Suite was clean, well furnished and inviting & the included breakfast buffet proved excellent value.
