Nice Hotel; near Cornell U

Posted Dec 17, 2015
Pros: It was clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced.
Cons: Replace the wood stick holding up part of the sink, and fix the part of the wall where the door knob hit it.
Location: Butternut Falls is nearby and a great place to hike.
This was my 2nd stay, so I liked it enough to come back.

Room was OK, No wifi connectivity was disappointin

Posted Nov 29, 2015
Cons: Wifi connectivity was a joke. Fix it or don't claim to prvide free wifi
The room was OK, nothing special. The wifi connectivity was terrible. We reserved this hotel because they claim free wifi. We were given a code to use but were unable to connect to it. They said you can come to front desk to use wifi becuase they connection is good here. Ridiculous, I want to lay in bed and use wifi, not sit in the lobby. You would walk outside the room and connect, but once inside the connection was lost. The next day I mentioned it to the front desk before checking out. I was told that the wifi connectivity was not guaranteed unless you were in the "special" rooms. Also ridiculous, my reservation made through Expedia said Free Wifi Included. Very disappointing...

Disappointing stay in Ithaca

Posted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: location to downtown Ithaca
Cons: Many things. Mattresses, shower head, toilet
Due to late booking of accommodations for Ithaca College Family weekend we could find vacancy only at Meadow Court Inn. When checking in they would not accept the credit card that I used to make reservation through Expedia (although I don't know why since I used that credit card for everything else that weekend). The room was clean but the beds were extremely uncomfortable (had plastic sheets under the cover sheet) and the mattresses were uncomfortable. The shower had a misting head which was bad. The toilet had difficulty flushing. The continental breakfast was sparse to say the least. While this hotel was slightly less money than one of the brand name hotels that we have used before (Hilton Garden Inn or Comfort Inn) I would rather pay the bit extra and get a better room and amenities.

Cheap, compared to Ithaca Hilton

About what one would expect. This type of motel would ordinarily be less than $80/night, but we were in Ithaca for family weekend and paid around $130/night

Horrible

Posted Nov 10, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed there for Family weekend at my daughters college. I think it is horrible that prices get jacked up double just for these events. Wi-fi password given, however didn't work in room. Told me at check-in. "Here is the wi-fi password, if it doesn't work in room then you can come sit in lobby." They know it doesn't work in rooms, so why give out a password or even say wi-fi. Also hole in wall behind door, wallpaper coming off wall. Bathroom sink being held up with a table leg, that wasn't even attached to sink. Front Desk guy very rude. I know it was a cheaper hotel, but for 289.00 for a two night stay room was horrible. Would not recommend to anyone.

Warning: Don't Stay Here

Posted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: Clean sheets and towels. Good fridge.
Cons: Hotel staff could be more professional, cleaning of carpets and bathrooms, replacing tiles and furniture.
Location: Great location in Ithaca. Right in the center of the town and close to both colleges.
Our first room at this hotel was disgusting. The carpet was covered in stains. The furniture was worn and cracked. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked and mildewed. The stopper in the sink did not work. The shower spiget was difficult to maneuver. A ceiling tile was off exposing us to the pipes above, etc. The cover of the heater was dislodged and showed dust-encased heating elements. The lampshades were stained and one didn't work. The sheets were very clean, though, and the beds were comfortable. The next morning I spoke to the front desk personnel who told me that the room we were in was scheduled for a new rug the following week. He didn't know what to do. The manager upgraded us to a newer room. This room was about the quality we had expected in the first place for the price we paid. However, this room wasn't that great either. There was residue in the sink and tub. The carpet was stained. The air in the hallways and entry smelled very strongly of bleach. The staff was not professionally dressed and seemed somewhat sloppy.. The breakfast was about average. There was one toaster for many people--it was a busy weekend in the area--but there was no additional toasters, etc. to accommodate that. Yogurt wasn't even on ice. We are not hotel snobs. We expect to get what we pay for and that is usually not very much. However, we paid a bit more for this hotel stay because of the proximity to our event.. Never again.

I'm a regular visitor. The place is perfectly fine, except I think, if they're not going to put out any breakfast, they shouldn't advertise that they do.
