Convenient and Clean Hotel

I was visiting the area from Philadelphia PA to visit a family member in hospice care. After traveling for 5 hours and then spending time at the hospice it was very important to have a place to go to that was comfortable and relaxing. I could not have been more happy with my room. It also helped that there were places to eat or get some supplies within walking distance.

Pros: Location
Window view was overlooking hotel in-door pool. So loud, only 2 kids in pool sounded more like twenty kids. Bathroom shower drain slow, tub needed a good scrubbing inside and out. No cover on bathroom light.

Cigarette smoke was all over the moteL.

Pros: Not much.
Cons: More staff on at night and weekends when motel is full.
Location: Cortland is close to Syracuse and we went to The Most in Armory Square.
The motel is old and damp and run down. The whole motel, hallways and lobby and rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. I had children who wanted to swim and the pool was green. I would not stay there again. For the price I could have done better. The lights in the room were out of order. Had a person come and fix them which took 20 minutes.

They sold my accessible room before I got there

Well, I have Muscular Dystrophy and I was driving up to New York to go to my sons . I prefer to travel at night because of less traffic. So before I left my home I booked a room here to get a few hours sleep . I booked an accessible room, non-refundable and guaranteed . I booked it here also because of the restaurant, room service and breakfast buffet. I signed in at the desk and she gave you my key and told me my room is on the second floor. I asked where the elevator was and she said they do not have one. I told her I booked a handicapped around because I cannot do steps or get in and out of a bathtub/shower. She got back on the computer and told me since I did not arrive early enough they sold my room !! How is this possible if it was guaranteed and non-refundable. Even if I did not show up at all that was still my room ! She ended up putting me in a regular smoking room, that worked out real well with my COPD and the whole building I was in was smoking . I also learned the restaurant was shut down and not available at all . So that meant no room service or breakfast buffet, she said something about it is Under New Management . Needless to say, I could not use the shower and was even afraid to sit on the toilet because it was so low and I probably couldn't have got back off of it . I got a few hours sleep and went off to my son's very disturbed . I stayed with him for a couple months and I am back home and just getting to my review .

Hallway of non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. Maid service was not so great: didn't vacuum and made a mess in our room and didn't clean it up.

Convenient hotel worth low price for a night

Nice people and service. The nonsmoking room had the faint smell of smoke and mildew, and was very dry. The air conditioner was loud, but not loud enough to block out sound from next door. Our window didn't look outside, but rather overlooked the pool and child play area, so we kept our shades drawn. The breakfast wasn't worth what they charged, although the staff were all very kind. Location was close to Ithaca and Syracuse, as well as quite a few nice wineries. Definitely worth what we paid for a night, but I'd probably find another hotel if I planned to stay longer.

Good travelling Hotel

The front desk staff was always very helpful if we needed any directions. The housecleaning staff would leave a cute display of my daughter's toys on her pillow when they made up the room. The hallway outside our room had a heavy smell of smoke, but it did not seep into the room at all. The property was a little light on the amenities: no continental breakfast or even coffee service that was available, but that's splitting hairs as far as I'm concerned. We had a comfortable bed, quiet nights, AWESOME shower pressure, and very good turndown service.

Room window goes to indoor pool. No outside window

Location: Can not say a lot because we came late.
Old fashioned design, bathroom wasn't very clean but ok. Overall: mediocre, good for one night. You can not open the window shades, because people form pool area can look into the room very easily.
