“A truly amazing place. Hosts are wonderful. We will go back - and bring friends next time - for sure. A wonderful country chateau. Home cooked meals. Gorgeous gardens. Stunning grounds. Beautiful home, full of books and art. This is not a fancy or high-end luxury experience; but a beautiful and charming rural experience with a great deal of grace, serenity, nature, culture -- if you like books, dining, wine, and nature, book several days here. Bruno and Marrianne are lovely to be around.”

“Des hôtes prévenants, agréables et discrets. Un petit déjeuner complet ( jambon blanc, fromage, yaourt, beurre, confiture, miel, pain, pains au chocolat, croissants, ...) Des plats cuisinés avec des produits frais de qualités et de belle façon. Une demeure rénovée avec goût, entourée d'un grand parc permettant de faire des rencontres furtives et inattendus ( Lièvres, renard, martre,...). Une chambre de bonne taille, climatisée avec une salle d'eau spacieuse ( grande douche, lavabos deux……

“I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is fantastic and makes it easy to explore the beautiful town of Sancerre. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. A few things to keep in mind: the staff only spoke French, so communication could be difficult if you don’t speak the language. The amenities are fairly limited—there was no ice available, no on-site parking, and not many of the small conveniences you might expect. While the room itself was a nice size, I personally prefer hotels……

“This is an absolutely wonderful property located outside the busy town center of Bourges but within walking distance. It is a beautiful home run by the family with 4 nicely appointed and cozy rooms upstairs. Parking on site and breakfast and a nice coffee and pastry salon round this wonderful place out.”

“Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cet appart-hôtel, que nous recommandons vivement. Le logement était très propre, dans un cadre calme et très agréable, idéal pour une famille. Les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié les jeux de société, la table de ping-pong et le badminton mis à disposition. Les lits étaient confortables et la climatisation dans les deux pièces a été un vrai plus. Nous avions choisi la demi-pension pour le week-end, et nous n’avons pas regretté : Véronique et ses……

“No outlets in room to charge your phone. No coffee machine in room. But the decor was lovely and classy. The breakfast was underwhelming no cheese eggs or meat. However the croissants were huge and amazing. The woman who checked me in was kind and accommodating. But the male staff at breakfast was standoffish and not warm or welcoming. The grounds could use some more landscaping befitting of a chateau.”

“Everything was unique about this place, the location, the warm and generous host, her dog Twiggy. We had a delicious breakfast every morning including freshly made crepes. At the last minute we were given a ride to the nearest train station ! I will never forget Nicole and her place. Ligia”

“As it happened it was the hottest day ever in France when we stayed and the air conditioning was excellent. Excellent mattresses. Very close to the motorway but we didn't hear any noise from it in the room. No restaurant in the hotel but a very short walk to an Italian restaurant which was fine. All in all I can see us staying at this hotel again.”
