Overall Pleasant

Pros: the organization, the tennis court, the cleanliness, many activities.
Cons: Food, bed, pillows and the kindness of the personnel.
Location: lots to do. Tennis, golf, mini golf, jet ski, kayak, pool, volleyball, games such as ping pong, pool table, cards etc.
The hotel is overall very well organized and located by a nice beach. Objectively speaking, our vacations were overall nice and enjoyable. As constructive criticism, I would add that the food did not vary from one day to the next and the pillows are not comfortable. As for the staff, they were not mean but many showed some exasperation. Again, overall I liked my vacations at that hotel, mostly for its amazing organization.

South Dakota couple loves Azul Ixtapa

The resort was beautiful with plenty to do. The couple of things we did not like: the bed was very hard and the buffet meals in the restaurants did not vary at all.

Excellent family resort

Pros: The waiters around the pool were very attentive. Our sit down reservation dinner was excellent-food, selection and waiters.
Cons: Half of the treadmills didn't work. Also being able to have a reservation dinner for every 2 nights booked.
Location: Playa Linda is a short walk down the beach. You can find shops and a wild bird refuge that also has crocodiles iguanas in addition to the birds.
This is a very friendly family resort. They have lots of activities for both adults and kids. The bike, sailing and kayak tours are just a few of the included activities the resort offers. The gym is open daily but is open air which can get rather warm. They do have a separate room that only has treadmills, which is air conditioned There is a small water park and a separate play area just for kids. Several restaurants, bars and a snack bar near the pool. There are 2 large pools with different games and activities being offered at the main pool. This is a casual atmosphere with friends and family and NOT a party hardy fancy resort. Everything was clean and maintained.

Great Hotel

I was pleasantly surprised of how great this hotel was, I came with my husband and 6 year old boy, there were plenty of activities for each one of us, my husband even got a class in boxing!, my child had a terrific time at Kid's club, the service was outstanding, the room with ocean view and clean, they would put flowers on the beds everyday and a chocolate at night, no complaints whatsoever

Very family friendly

The hotel is excellent for families, my kids (age 4 and 2) loved the big playground and the baby and kids club. My 4 year old loved the pool slides for kids. Food was ok, we stayed a few days at the hotel next door the Ixtapa azul grand and their food was much better. Beach was nice, not exactly seimmable for the kids but it was nice. Service was excellent, everyone works so hard and are very attentive. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great view

Everything was perfect The only complaint I have is the room was not ready We arrived around 5:30 very tired & all I wanted to do was go rest Took about 2 hours to give us our room

nice and convenient

Pros: relaxing
Cons: add some different foods at buffet.
Location: Ixtapa was close enough to visit by taxi or bus.
stayed nine nights with all sunny days. language barrier was tough at times.

Nice proximity to the beach.

Pros: Really enjoyed a short and inexpensive trip out to the island, beautiful.
Cons: Some trouble with consistent water temperature for showering. Too many cold showers. DO NOT exchange US dollars for pesos at the hotel, only Canadian
Location: Town is a short cab ride, lots of shopping and local restaurants there
Had a wonderful time, gorgeous weather. Cater a lot to families and children.

Overcrowded with terrible food

We arrived around 6pm and there was nowhere to sit near the pool and get a drink to relax after the flight. The beach area was also congested with the lounge chairs scattered all over the beach. Went to get food at the buffet and this was the worst food ever. We later found out they sell day passes to anyone not staying at the hotel. We cancelled our remaining nights and moved to a much better place for about the same price.

It's right next to the beach

Beautiful hotel good food great staff the hotel is right next to the beach we really didn't need to leave the resort
