Beautiful hotel with a beach front room

All of the hotel staff was very friendly and provided great customer service throughout our stay. The Sun Club is a great amenity to have with air conditioning and tasty food and drinks. The hotel overall was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation and top of the line service.

Great Hotel!

Our recent stay at Sunscape was great! The hotel was clean and big with a lot of activities to do. I agree that it is definitely a kid friendly hotel, like others have said. However; it wasn't too bad. We traveled in June and it's considered low season- not a lot of Americans but instead a lot of locals. This was a very pleasant surprise as sometimes being with too many tourists can be bad. The buffet food was good, better than a lot of other inclusive resorts I've attended. I would recommend the food at both the Italian and Blue Water Restaurants...excellent food! The beaches are even more beautiful in Zihua, so visiting there is a must! The staff was super friendly and very helpful! We had a king size bedroom and it was very comfortable! Overall I loved our vacation there and I would definitely come back!

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was super friendly! Special thx to Hugo for going over and above in helping retrieved a lost phone in a taxi. Darwin and Julian also super attentive. Benito and vincente in the restaurant were great. Loved it here and would return in a heartbeat!

Not a 4* resort - 2* at best

Pros: The staff were lovely and kind and accomodating
Cons: The rooms need a complete updating the the food needs to improve. And the hotel was 'oversold' ... meaning the pool was wall to wall people and kids.
Location: Ixtapa is sunny and warm and ocean is warm
The staff were lovely - the hotel room 'dated' yet beds and linens 'ok'. The FOOD experience was horrible and made the vacation not so great. The OVERLOADED pool meant the pool was left murky and un-clean meaning we didn't go in the pool once in 7 days.

ok but not great

Pros: Gym, coffee, bars were friendly, breakfast was enjoyable in buffet, the view from our room and we didn't have the best view but we enjoyed our view.
Cons: Dinner buffet and restaurant(s) Beds in the rooms Fridges
Location: Location is fabulous in our opinion. Close to the bus stop, close to the mini-mall and all the pubs and restaurants and little stores.
Had double beds when we expected queen and asked to change to a king but David (check-in Sunclub) just smiled every day and didn't change at our request, even though he said he probably could find us a king bed room! In room fridge didn't cool anything. Very disappointed in having a warm beer while my wife gets ready to go out for dinner. We ate at least 6 dinners across the street in the min-mall area (9 night stay) as we didn't enjoy dinner meals at the Sunscape. (Exception we enjoyed a good beef steak in the Italian restaurant one night but didn't feel much like going back there every night) we found "The General" and "Franks" to be awesome so we kept going back there in the mall area. Aside from that - we enjoyed our stay (these are just small things but important as we will look to a different place next year to see how another will compare) One more thing - we don't like it whe. People go early in the morning and save chairs around the pool. I am an early bird and go get my coffee at 6:00 so am capable of doing the same but don't believe it is right. It was not supervised at all as they state, and not once did we sit around the pool albeit we did swim I. It almost daily to cool off but we had to put our towels by the hot pool.

Staff was excellent. Beds were very hard, not comfortable. Food was good,entertainment was excellent! We will come back for sure!

Beach was amazing.

Beach was the crown jewel. The rooms were spacious and the staff accommodating. Food was good but challenging for more particular diets. Lots to do and an excellent proximity to shops in town. Felt very safe the whole time. Would defiantly go again
