Posted May 1, 2016

Under-Rated!! Would recommend to all my friends!

Pros: The option of three pools and a beach. It was never difficult to get a bottle of water and the gym was fabulous!
Cons: There is wifi everywhere but in the rooms. You could get periodic signal from the balcony though which was nice.
Location: Only a couple minutes to town, plenty of beach and you can day trip to the other island from the pier at playa linda.
My husband and I travelled to Ixtapa the 3rd week in April 2016. The busy season was just ending and the locals were just starting to visit before the rainy season. The markets were not crowded and service was fantastic. The weather was 31+ everyday, usually overcast in the morning and then clearing off by 11am to a hot sunny day. This hotel is a sister hotel to the other Azul and is connected beachside by a really pretty walking bridge (maybe a 2-4 minute walk) This path also gives you access to the public beach playa linda a kilometer of walking at least and totally safe. The other side of the hotel (street access) takes you to playa quieta which is another stretch of beautiful beach. Getting to town is cheap by bus 10 pesos or by cab 110 pesos. Once in town you have access to restaurants, markets and more beach. You can also travel to Zihuatanejo (neighboring town) to find more shopping and restaurants - its a little further but worth checking out - totally different city feel. This is 12 pesos by bus or 180 by cab - if its hot, I recommend the cab to Zihua - the drive is probably 20 minutes but longer by bus. All the rooms in this hotel have ocean view. They have 3 restaurants and one main buffet. You are allowed 3 reservations per week - all were amazing! Our Kingbed room also had a Jacuzzi. There is also a large lobby bar with pool tables and many games and music which is nice to hang out at in the evening if you don't want to go to the show.

This hotel don't have a beach

Posted Apr 25, 2016
I love this place but, this time all the restaurants weren't available, they were closed or they only take few reservations.. We were disappointed because we didn't get to experience any especial dinner, only the buffet

Incomodo desplazarse y comida muy mala

Posted Apr 16, 2016

Posted Apr 12, 2016 on Hotels
EL DETALLE ES QUE NO HUBO HABITACIÓN CON CAMA KING SIZE, NOS OFRECIERON UNA CON CAMA DOBLE Y CAMBIARNOS AL DÍA SIGUIENTE PERO NO QUISIMOS IRNOS A OTRA POR NO GUARDAR LAS COSAS. TAMBIÉN OTRO DETALLE QUE ESTÁBAMOS OCUPADOS Y TOCARON PARA LLENAR EL SERVIBAR PERO NO ESCUCHARON QUE YA IBAMOS A ABRIR Y TRATARON DE ABRIR LA PUERTA, FUE MUY INCÓMODO PORQUE CASI NOS SORPRENDEN EN EL JACUZZI.

Hotel was great. Food in restaurants wasn't always what I expected. Love Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
