Great onsen without the cost of unwanted frills!Posted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: The onsen. The uniqueness of a heritage house and the experience that comes with staying there.
Location: Ito itself is not a big town, but has great scenery. We enjoyed walking around in the small market area, along the river, and at the beach.
We stayed at K's House Ito Onsen during October in their 2 person Japanese style room C. The futons were really comfy and blankets warm. The onsen was open 24 hours (except for a brief period around noon when they clean) with a big changing area, and felt so luxurious despite this being a "hostel". Common area was also very nice and spacious, with a beautiful view. I loved all the tatami mats! We also used the laundry there, and the dryer dried really fast. I'd say it was the cleanest of the many clean hostels we stayed at this trip (especially the floors). The only downsides of the heritage house were the creaky floorboards and the room door rattling when locking. I felt bad when we got to our room late and were trying to unlock the door. Other than that, all the residents were quiet and there was no problem with noise. Overall, it was a great place to unwind and recharge halfway through our vacation. Would definitely go there again!

Amazing place!Posted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, absolutely amazing authentic interior, Cozy spacious rooms, amazing public onsen and great private onsen, close to Ito station.
Location: The place is very close to the station, to local beach and handful restaurants that offer western and local cuisine. The neighborhood is quiet.
Absolutely amazing stay! I don't know what to say: whether it's the location (a 6 minute walk from the station) with lots of restaurants and a local roofed market, close to the beach to watch the sunrise or moonrise. Or maybe it's the amazing and friendly staff, always ready to help and everything is with a smile! We got the orientation tour of what's around, and inside the hostel. We even asked and heard some about the history of the place. On top of aforementioned: the place itself looks absolutely magical. It's like it was taken from a samurai movie (see the photos). And the atmosphere of it is very social, yet with plenty of space to have some peace if you don't want to socialize. But if you do: there's a kitchen, there're a few rooms to eat (on the ground level), there's a computer room if you need to check the mail, and even a TV room if feel like some movie :). Would come again tomorrow, but I have to work :(.

Et af Japans bedste hostels!Posted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels

Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
K's House 是一間百年旅館，是旅遊值得住宿，因為它保留了古舊建設，價錢便宜，當然冇酒店服務水準啦！唯一是公眾浴室，稍為不方便。

Nice HostelPosted Jul 14, 2015
This is a nice and clean facility with English speaking staff. The staff is very helpful in answering questions about the surrounding areas. We really like our river view suite with private bathroom.

Great hostel with onsen!Posted Jun 27, 2015
The staff is very helpful and speaks a variety of languages. The rooms are traditional and beautiful. However, the walls are quite thin so if you have noisy people or children on your floor, expect to hear them. The bathrooms are also shared on the floor and there is no cleaning service. The baths are excellent. There is one each for men and women. They are both open almost all day. They are each cleaned for about 1/2 hours in the early afternoon but other than that they're free and accessible to guests. You do have to pay ¥200 for towels, though. Overall an excellent choice.
