Rooms were outdated and in desperate need of renovation. Carpets were absolutely disgusting.

Small outdated rooms but, good location

Pros: The location was great. The staff were helpful. The room was clean.
Cons: the rooms need updating, carpet replaced and whatever it takes to get the funky smell out.
Location: The location was great for restaurants, shops and art galleries. The little theater was near. The town square was a short walk away.
We were disappointed in the outdated and musty smell of the room. The room was small but, that would be okay if it wasn't so smelly and dingy. However, the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was great. We could walk to most of the attractions in town.

Quaint, clean, and rustic

Exactly what we were looking for. A comfortable nights stay in Jackson. And walking distance to just about everything in town.

Good location. Old rooms/dirty carpet in Rancho.

Pros: The location was good. Close to the downtown square, restaurants and shopping.
Cons: The receptionists need to be more aware of the location of customer service items. The online pictures need to be updated to show the Rancho rooms.
We were guaranteed a check-in time online of 2:00, but were not able to check-in until 3:00. Although we knew we were booked in the Rancho building, we had no idea it would be completely different from the online pictures. None of the online pictures show the Rancho building. Based on the online pictures, we expected an air conditioner. There is no air conditioning in the Rancho building. There was an electrical outlet that did not have a cover and the electrical outlet by the sink would barely keep the cord plugged in for my curling iron. I had to plug the phone cord in the room phone in order to call the front desk. There are no hair dryers in the room so I requested a hair dryer around 3:45. We had a trip planned at 5:00. I walked to the front desk around 4:15 to try to pick up the dryer. The receptionist told me he was still trying to get in touch with the maintenance man and if he called back I could get a hair dryer. I called back about 20 minutes later. The receptionist said he was still trying to get in touch with the maintenance man. I asked if there was somewhere I could walk to get the hair dryer. He said he did not know where they kept the hair dryers in the motel. He told me the cleaning staff had just clocked out for the day. He said if he knew where they were kept he would bring it to me himself. I never received a hair dryer. The breakfast included was only granola, yogurt, fruit and juice. Not the same as provided by most, but OK.

Lack of air conditioning in some rooms.

Room we were assigned on check-in did not have AC. To get it, we were told we had to pay more. However, we were upgraded to an AC room at no additional charge when we discovered electric outlets did not work. That new room was fine. Did not realize that any US hotel room did not have AC but at least we should have been warned when making the reservation.

Great location near town square

A couple problems with the room. First, the room was in a very dark Alcove of the hotel. And had no useable exterior windows, it was like being in a cave. Second the microwave, the display was broken. Also maintenance that wasn't that great exterior wise, the paint was fresh, but the railings in several places were rotting and starting to come apart. Now they need to replace the wooden railings. Breakfast was not as advertised either, just some yogurt and granola bars no pastries, no effort on their part. And for $250+, they should have done better than a Super 8.

No air, tub, bath vent, ground floor and bath window wouldn't lock. Not close to photo on line.

The older part that our room first was in was terrible. We were then put in a different room which was nice.staff person was very accommodating
