This is a beautiful property, and boy the view does not disappoint! It's inside the Grand Teton National Park, which makes it a super-convenient stepoff point for your day's activities, which the hotel concierge can help arrange. The main lodge is gorgeous and has restaurants, gift shops and a lounge. We ate at the Pioneer Grill twice and the food was excellent. The overlook lobby is huge and has comfortable seating and plenty of windows for gazing at the mountains.
The room we stayed in was updated regarding carpeting and furnishings. The bathroom was remodeled nicely. One thing lacking was a TV (and sorry, I know we were in nature's wonderland but at night there's not much to view. Everyone was cramming into the lounge Sat. evening to watch football.) The room rate is rather steep so one would expect a TV! (Maybe reception is a problem?)
The room did have a mini-fridge and Keurig machine, but no microwave. Again, less pricey hotels have those, and the closet containing the fridge had plenty of room for one.
This was the last night of our trip so we decided to treat ourselves to a pricier hotel - it was worth it in SO many ways, but we were a little surprised at not seeing some room amenities that these days are considered standard.
