Two Skiers contemplating their fate at the top of the Black Diamond Run, Rendezvous Bowl, at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
#snow #jacksonhole Warm up yer doggies by the fire and have a hot beverage. Probably the best place to hang out and relax while taking in the view and people watching. It was cold... very cold !
#jacksonhole Just around 10,450 feet on top of Rendezvous Peak at The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort you will find a rustic cabin serving made to order waffles with inspired toppings like peanut butter, brown sugar, nutella and, of course, bacon!
Corbet's Cabin can be accessed by the aerial tram or by taking a pretty decent hike from Teton Village. They also have a nice selection of hot and cold drinks and beer to wash them down. It' cozy, It's rustic, It's got a great view !
It's also the start of most of the Black Diamond runs on the mountain so... if you plan to Ski down... make sure you are experienced. This Mountain is like no other and can be unforgiving.
BTW, if you do go in the winter
be aware it's very cold outside and very warm and cozy inside... your camera will develop heavy condensation and fog up the second you walk in so if you want pictures inside you have to be patient as your camera adjusts or have taken precautionary measures, like the point and shoot you kept warm in your jacket.
#snow #jacksonhole #restaurant It was my first time to this area of 'Merica.
I was at a conference with our company at the time and they gave us free time.
I was absolutely in awe of this sanctuary for buffalo. We rode a horse drawn sleigh and got super close to the buffalo. It was crazy. And magical. All at the same time. Taking a cable car in Jackson Hole gave us a wonderous view of the mountain range and the surrounding #nationalpark. It was a great end to our #roadtrip through this beautiful part of the country. Just a couple of mile run from Teton Village, spectacular vista The Spur is an excellent place to unwind after a day on the slopes. Great drinks and yummy mountain cuisine. I had a Soaring high over the Rocky Mountains at Jackson Hole to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary Great mountain but it can get very cold, remember to bring a lotta layers! Inflating a hot air balloon for a flight over Jackson Hole One of my favorite parts of visiting... hanging out fireside at the base of the slopes.
#jacksonhole This rustic cabin with it's antlers and wagon seemed quintessentially Wyoming to me. Time to light the fire ! A fresh dusting of powder is always a welcome sight.
This was just a few hours before a group of thirsty mountain maniacs descended with fire, liquor, and cozy blankets. Up on a ridge at 6:15 AM were a small heard of elk. All female. They were not to scared of us, but we tried to keep our distance. They just got to the top of the hills the sun was getting there. The clock tower and tram station is pretty much the center of Teton village. The tram rises 4,139 vertical feet from the base of Teton Village to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. The summit has a fabulous 360-degree views. Just as you enter Teton Village and the Main Clock-tower this plastic moose statue is waiting for your cheesy Skiing down from the top of the mountain One of Jackson Holes Snocats on top of Rendezvous Mountain. Accessible by tram shown descending in the background.
Every night after the slopes close, the ski lifts stop running, and the pubs fill up with ski-rats celebrating having cheated death once again... the mountain magically transforms itself.
At least one would think as we see their twinkling lights dancing through the mountains trees at night like forest pixies. the next morning we find a fabulous white corduroy carpet waiting for us like a gift from the ski gods.
But it's not magic... It's the unsung artistry of the Took the tram to the top of the mountain and noticed a couple guys with large duffel bags. As soon as they got off the tram they ran to a trail leading to the South. They would buy an all day tram pass and after riding up, paraglide back down, tram back up and so on. Pretty cool. Snowboarding Jackson Hole, WY Grand Teton Natiinal Park Sea of cloud Hotel Terra at Teton Village is the perfect ski-in, ski-out location in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Don’t forget to try out the infinity pool on the 3rd floor! Some days snowboarding is all about the view. Top of the tram. Lucky me got to watch the sun set and rise from up here! Tram top view I finally got a chance to ski Jackson Hole! Some of the steepest terrain I've skied and some great powder for this rocky mountain chic. Boarding and a brew This village has many amenities, restaurants, shops, alpine resort hotels, and even an aerial tramway. #Green The Tram. See you again soon my lovely 😊 Best not venture too far right then! Going down? There she is ❤️
