Great Hub for Jackson

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: Great location and friendly staff. The restaurant is quite good also. Lobby barista service was a very welcome feature.
Cons: I really don't like hotels with tons of in-room options for incidentals. Either give them to the client or sell them in the lobby.
Location: Obviously Grand Teton National Park. The on-prem restaurant, Glorietta was really good too.
I stayed at the Anvil my first ever visit to Jackson. It is in a perfect location, has the perfect amount of amenities and was a very nice price. The staff was great and vibe was a nice balance of comfort and hip, cleanliness. I found that the hotel offered a great launching point to go explore Grand Teton park and was perfectly located to explore the town of Jackson as well. I was able to walk around and hit all of the key spots in town. I checked out a few restaurants, but ended up really liking Glorietta, which is their on-prem restaurant. Great food and the bar tender, Tony, was awesome. He made one of the best Manhattan's I've ever had (it is their version, which I can't recall the name of) and made a truly mean cappuccino which I had with my tiramisu for desert. If I ever go back to Jackson, I'll likely look to the Anvil for my stay.

Smallest room I've ever had (and most expensive)

Posted Sep 30, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: I don't know how to make "too small" much better.
Location: Tourist town. Tons of art galleries.
I liked that the hotel was right in town and I could walk to pretty much everything. But the room was so small that it could only fit a bed and two suitcase racks and two tiny night stands in it (it couldn't even fit a chair). There was no way to use my computer there (I tried using it on the bed....nope). The staff seemed nice enough, I guess. But I won't stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback. As stated on the Expedia website the Glenwood Building rooms are just under 200 square feet. Our rooms in the Cache Building offer more space and a table with two chairs for a place to work.

Great location. Older hotel that has been tastefully remodeled and update. Definitely would stay there again

Clean, modern, and close to the Tetons

Posted Sep 26, 2017
My sister and I stayed here for two nights while on our way from Yellowstone to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was clean, modern, and within walking distance to several restaurants. I would have no qualms about staying here again or recommending this to friends.

Tiny, loud, but quaint and clean

Posted Sep 11, 2017
We were issued a room across a small parking lot from the hotel's restaurant which has outdoor seating. Both nights is was very loud past 11PM. Also, room is quaintly decorated but tiny, barely can navigate one person around the queen bed, only a bedside table on one side. Bathroom only had stall shower, again very tiny, with toilet directly facing it. Sink was in main room. Also, no real path from parking lot to room door, just had to make your way around the landscaping and up the wooden step. Only one small window overlooking parking lot which rattled when cars came and went. Room was clean with nice bedding and toiletries and right in town making most things walkable.

Thank you for your feedback. I have asked the restaurant to turn off the outdoor music when they close at 10pm.

This hotel was very small but clean. The problem I have is they charge for Coffee and offer no amenities. My credit card was charges over $11 for something. Maybe an ink pen. If that is true there should have been something to show a price you would be charged.

Thank you for your feedback Sandra. Drip coffee is included in your stay for all guests. We do charge for espresso drinks. The $11 was for the hotel services fee that Expedia states on your confirmation that will be collected at the hotel. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused you.
